QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Aug 20 2019, 09:09 AM) Kuching supermarkets very kiasi, some don't allow paywave. So far Giant, Guardian, Watson's, Aeon, Everrise, H&L, CS are OK. QUOTE(rojakwhacker @ Aug 20 2019, 09:13 AM) So far, for me, the one want to hold is CS minimart, farley (strictly insist to hold, i give up). Unaco no hold even do pin but no wave option. Not only Kuching.. many other states have the same thinking.. last time I asked whether I can wave, the boss told me to use PIN coz if paywave, how the merchant know whether the card u hold is belongs to u, n somemore we don allow them to hold the card.... so PIN is safer to avoid any dispute.. which I think is quite reasonable thinking.. Angmo think differently. In UK, the cashiers never ask for and touch your credit/debit card. You need to D.I.Y.

I have no issue in Klang Valley, not sure why you said you don't allow them to hold the card as most of the time we hand the card to them whether pin or wave as the cashier are the one input the card into the device especially supermarkets. Maybe different culture in different cities I think then.

No issue la. If they wanna handle the card and wave, then be my guest. If they ask me to wave, I wave. No big deal.

Normally if wave I just wave myself as now most of the merchant will put their terminal accessible by customer or can turnaround easily like Tesco / Giant.. but, if insert n pay with pin I will hand the card to cashier.. wave mostly I will wave myself unless merchant insist to take my card like Human Nature.. not much merchant will ask me to pass the card for them unless the terminal is not accessible by customer QUOTE(Human Nature @ Aug 20 2019, 10:23 AM) No issue la. This is strange. Applied Quantum on 6/8, called IVR on 13/8 says pending for documentation, called IVR on 17/8 says application unsuccessful, Received SMS on 21/8 says application successful. Was expecting to ask for appeal but anyhow, I dont need to do it anymore

Unsuccessful -> can be overturned and ended with higher limit/margin! This post has been edited by ClarenceT: Aug 21 2019, 09:29 AM

Gonna get used to it from my side Since I do not own a PBe account, what I need to do is open a new basic saving account at PB to link the cards with the account right?

Can register the pbe account yourself but i think you cant add the card yourself. But try to add first and if cant then either call bank or go bank branch to add card to pbe account.

Adding card into PBe guide is Post#1/Page#1 If both methods fail, pay a visit to the nearest branch.

Either try self add or add at bank branch. As i experience before no pb saving account but could not add the card my self. It show error message. So i proceed to bank branch to add (no saving account); But after having public bank saving account (for other card). Then i can add the card my self. Maybe every pbe account have different configuration. Edit: rephrase. This post has been edited by rojakwhacker: Aug 21 2019, 10:31 AM

My PBe account is created online w/o going to the branch. Then, my Quantum cards are viewable from PBe. When I added VS, I wasn't aware of the two methods and I paid a visit to the nearest branch to add it to PBe.
