My appeal-application since June 19 for Quantum is still "pending documentation".  I called today and was told no further documentation required, just waiting for decision.  I actually paid extra for my other credit cards to make my CCRIS look good.  No choice but have to wait - the 12 month zero % instalment is the feature I'm going after.

I can also see the "pre-approved" credit limit of RM50,000 of "pending" application on my CCRIS report.  Hopefully it does not get shrunk to RM5,000!

I was rejected at first - they called it "cancel".  When I called to speak to the CSA, I asked for the reason but he would not tell.  He then said he could put in an appeal for me, and nothing I needed to do.  And since then the status has been  "pending documentation".

Guys, after 4 weeks' wait,  I have finally received an SMS approval for my Quantum card.  My ECCRIS report now shows a credit limit of RM40,000 , reduced from the previous RM50,000.
I'm now on board the PBB family to enjoy the card benefits. Happy!

Your increment since 3 months ago?  Then try. 
If it's just last month, maybe wait till you have 3 months' pay slips on new pay level to make your case stronger.

Quite common for PB's systems/procedures. Not strange for me already.

Sucessful -> yes successful but can be conditional.
Unsuccessful -> can be overturned and ended with higher limit/margin!

Forget to add, for no pb saving account only. As i experience before no pb saving account but could not add the card my self. It show error message. So i proceed to bank branch. But after having public bank saving account. Then i can add the card my self. Maybe every pbe account have different configuration.

As I said I have no CASA also.
My PBe account is created online w/o going to the branch.
Then, my Quantum cards are viewable from PBe.
When I added VS, I wasn't aware of the two methods and I paid a visit to the nearest branch to add it to PBe.

Collection at bank branch, they will inform you by sms but maybe take longer time. For me, i dont want to wait so just call to confirm ready for collection then proceed to bank branch.

limited timeframe to process the application: Not sure. According to bank branch agent, the card process from head quarter may be fast or slow depend on the whether to meet card target or something like KPI. My case, i apply during holiday season that is why slow.

I collected from branch the third working day (Fri) after receiving the approval sms (Tue). The date on the envelope stated that it was received by the branch on the next day (Wed) after I received the approval sms. The sms for me to collect only came the following week (Tue) after I have already collected my card.

Great. I will drop a visit to the branch and ask if my card already arrives tomorrow

You can login to other bank online account and pay from there.

First time paying credit card bill?

I dont know what bank saving account that you have. But can login to those bank that you have and choose payment or fund transfer and select public bank as recipient and enter credit card number (as bank account number). then enter amount and start to pay. If unsure, can always pay small amount to test water first.

You never use IBFT/IBG?

FYI if you use PB's Cash Deposit Machine to pay, service charge - 50 sen.

You are right that can only happen if bank of credit card and bank saving account is of the same bank. But if different bank then use ibg/fund transfer like sifu ClarenceT said.
