Re: zero % flexi payment, Kelvin's example here was that he requested for conversion of RM1.5k spend before statement was out, and told no need to pay on statement due date.
My case was that I requested for conversion only after my statement was out on 16 Aug.  My request was approved for RM 1.3k (exceed RM1.2k) out of my total spend of RM1.9k.  So come due date of 5 Sep, do I exclude the RM1.3k and just pay 600.00?  The CSA may have told me that but I didn't hear clearly.

There's a difference between Kelvin's case and my case, as I requested for flexi payment after the statement is out.

Hope I can get answer here if not have to call CSA again.

Why does offline credit card processing occur? It is because at the time of the credit card transaction, there is a temporary loss of internet connection experienced by credit card terminal?

It is quite inconvenient to some of us, when such offline credit card processing occurs. As you said, there is no deduction from the available credit limit of the credit card. Calling the bank does not help at all, because the customer service officer cannot detect such transactions from their system. We can only check the transactions, only when the transactions are posted.

So, as credit card users, we are unable to determine whether contactless transactions are processed online, or offline, right?

From my limited experience of using credit cards, if I tap Maybank credit cards at Maybank terminals (either for Visa Paywave or Amex ExpressPay transactions), the contactless transactions are usually processed online and I can see the approval code on the charge slips.

On the other hand, if I tap Maybank credit cards at Public Bank terminals for Visa Paywave transactions, the approval code becomes VLP111, indicating offline processing.

So, to avoid offline processing, should I need to ensure that it is same bank, both at card issuer side, and card acquirer side? For example, I need to tap Public Bank credit cards at Public Bank terminals, for contactless transactions. Is my understanding correct?

currently own maybank 2 platinum cards.

the reason i want to apply pb cards because of cashback.
most of my spending goes to groceries (giant), petrol( shell), bill( tnb, unifi) and etc like clinic( only accept visa n mc).

with mbb2platinum amex, i only get cashback from groceries and petrol on weekend. the rest of spending, i didnt get any cash back.
so would like to ask if the pb quantum mastercard is suitable for my need? paying the bills and others.
seem only dining n online shopping will getting me the cash back.

Guys, since starting september PBB Quantum Visa got 5% cashback on contactless (wave) transactions, I wonder whether I can request the bank to increase the limit on paywave transaction (currently RM250 limit for paywave).

Hi guys, under PBB merchant which is consider retail purchase? For e.g. I know grocery, petrol is consider retail purchase...other than those which are retail purchase? Is paying daycare fee considered retail purchase?

Just got my Quantum cards yesterday and instantly cancelled the QV card, later only to read about the changes on Sep 1st (the CS didn't inform me about it). But on second thought, I can get indirect CB if I use QMC to top up BigPay so all is still well. Lol
