You plug in your guitar into the tuner, and then there's a needle in the middle as a guide.
Pluck a string, and if the needle goes right, it's too high. If it goes left, it's too low. Tune your guitar until the needle stays in the middle.

i occasionally pick up guitar one/world/acoustic/tech depending on whats on the cover. . . if got good stuff then i'll get it. . .

sometimes they have really pointless ones so i just skip em. . . not cheap. . .

but guitar tech is very very good. . .

pretty much techniques. . .

but it seems that all the magazines have all merged together into one. . .

so now all you have is Guitar World =)

I buy Guitar Techniques most of the time and Guitarist (rarely though... this gives you unwanted GAS.). biggrin.gif

While blues and classic rock are most covered genres in GT, they do cover stuff that are rarely touched by other magazines such as jazz, fusion, country (!) etc. Back then they even had a funk column. Not much metal compared to its American counterpart but if you're into shred, Shaun Baxter's column should keep you satisfied. biggrin.gif
