how about a cube 20 ? from what i've read, tube amps won't be good for bedroom practice because it has to be loud..

yep. besides, if you can't control the output of those high gain pickups, it'll only make your sound noisier than before.

i've actually wanted to get rid of my kustom quite some time ago because it's too muddy. right now i'm looking at the Cube 20

try getting something with a larger speaker,
sometimes its the speaker bottlenecking your sound, not giving enough headroom and soundstage

like the kustom 12 gauge
10w amp with a 12" speaker.

how big is the cube20's speaker?
somehow i find while the ad30 does sound fantastic, the ad50 which uses a larger speaker makes soooooo much difference in the tone

thats what drove me to a conclusion, big speakers = better lol
