QUOTE(temptation1314 @ Mar 19 2008, 11:58 AM) 1. Cement and Assemble 2. Sand 3. Prime / Surface 4. Lining 5. Paint/Airbrush 6. Topcoat 7. Decals 8. Topcoat again. Don't kuku me ar. I ask above steps are correct or not as that's what I've read so far. And Topcoat means paint another layer right? How bout those with decals on it? Thanks. actually 1st step is called pre-assemble(testing snap fit, something like tat) u dun nid to cement everything yet depends on the kit.. let's say a HG or NG kit, u nid to paint the inside 1st only the armor rite since got no body frame so if u cement d then susah.. step 4 wrong.. u do panel lining AFTER u paint/AB.. step 6 can skip actually if u wan to save topcoat, it's not compulsory to spray 2 times.. i only do tat on certain kits..

QUOTE(temptation1314 @ Mar 19 2008, 12:10 PM) You mean the skeleton first lar I got that. Actually pre-assemble I'm ok with it, only the process afterwards... zzz 1 wrong move, my rare kits gone. Ok, means that 1. Pre-assemble(Sand, cement, etc.) 2. Prime / Surface 3. Paint / Airbrush 4. Lining 5. Decals Above this one more accurate?? Btw, I know sticking decals on kits will result in... sticker seam lines(call this as what ler ) So topcoat 1 time after decals will hide those seam lines or there's special way? nope.. i dun mean the body frame(skeleton) 1st, when ppl pre-assemble, it's the whole thing... topcoat wun hide seam lines la..

QUOTE(future80 @ Mar 26 2008, 01:30 AM) http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z295/optimus55/ABCD0004.jpg wanto ask... this (MG strike freedom gundam) 'sticker' need to use water? this one just take out and stick like chriswoo said... if the background is white then it's dry decal... MGs SELDOM come with water decals(blue background), usually nid to buy them. This post has been edited by z3r0717: Mar 26 2008, 01:48 AM

spray cans kenot overlap each other and the results would not look nice compare to AB becoz it's thick.... TopCoat will not affect ur paint, it just gives a layer of protection and depend wat kind of topcoat. If gloss then gloss effect, if flat then flat effect... if u spray topcoat onto gundam without paint, it's ok.. let's say u spray flat , then it will look flat lo..

IMO la, everyone shud try hand painting to get the feel of it... ltr u can use spray cans or AB then use hand painting for detailing lor.. coz hand painting also very important.. although i dun hand paint the whole kit but i hand paint the details which are very important. ^^

who say lacquer paint kenot use for hand painting ur brush painting = hand painting rite? heck i use lacquer for hand painting but detailing la.. lol... painting the whole kit can but u nid LOTS of practice... not easy though... really nid to be good in hand painting if u wan to paint the whole kit using lacquer... usually few layers, max is 3 i think to get smooth surface...
