QUOTE(temptation1314 @ Mar 11 2008, 11:47 AM) Ok, I found out some mechanism to put the pieces together. 1. Bind Glue 2. Putty 3. Elephant Glue Which one is better??? Both Putty and Bind Glue can be bought from TM in BTS. 2. usually to cover Seam Lines, doesn't act as glue 3. more powerful than cement, depends which part to use... put the glue, snap the parts, glue comes out, dry alr then sand it away This post has been edited by z3r0717: Mar 11 2008, 11:49 AM |

usually ppl use rough to sand out the extra bits away then fine one to smoothen the surface.

1st of all, is there surfacer 1500???
if u mean water base means acrylic alr tat means paint mix with water.. for paint mix with thinner is mr.hobby lacquer type of paint... brush does not produce nicer color, it depends on how skillful is the painter.. weathering can use gundam marker weathering or dry brushing technique.. there's still more technique though |

u shud use 1000 which is the most suitable one...
u kenot mix lacquer and acrylic together as in none of them can overlap each other because some reason(which i duno how to explain) lacquer or acrylic is the 1st layer of paint then flw by other types... u can try enamel paint to do weathering effect... but 1st of all wat type of weathering u have in mind? |

both price for lacquer n acrylic almost the same for one bottle.. so how to say which is cheap. =/
hand painting acrylic more easier and lacquer more suitable for AB but still i use lacquer for hand painting. |

both quality different, how to compare...
acrylic adds WATER not thinner... brush line = brush stroke, is hard for a 1st timer to avoid.. u nid a lot of practice for hand painting. i dun understand ur white part color ques |

hmm... hand painting if wan smooth 2-3 layers is enough.. wait for it to dry and paint again.... painting big areas is a bit hard as u nid a lot of practice...
u can ask fyrie or chriswoo, they are good in hand painting. As for me, i only hand paint for detailing.. |

QUOTE(darklancer @ Mar 15 2008, 12:16 AM) ShinAsakura: so nypon then! thx! really deja vu... i think i answer this ques more than 10 times.. lol...i never done any spraying before. is there anything tat i hv to take note of ? like after spraying need to apply surfacer? or how to spray correctly? please, as much tips as possible. thank you all sifu sifu must prime your kit so the paint will stick well.... so it's best u sand nicely then primer... industrial spray cans must spray far than the normal ones... spray left and right to cover the whole part with the paint.. after spraying a few kits then u kno one... good luck... u'll learn from trial and error. |
