QUOTE(kalakatu @ Jun 29 2007, 10:06 PM) that's what i do. it doesn't make sense to have top as intake, as that would go against the law of physics of hot vs cold air movements it doesn't make snese to have fans on the lower side of the casing as exhaust either, as that would mean that cold air are taken out. and again, it's not using the law of physics to help the system. |

QUOTE(goldfries @ Jun 29 2007, 10:34 PM) that's what i do. Okay bro, since you're the Sifu, let me ask you something, what about the sidepanel fan? it doesn't make sense to have top as intake, as that would go against the law of physics of hot vs cold air movements it doesn't make snese to have fans on the lower side of the casing as exhaust either, as that would mean that cold air are taken out. and again, it's not using the law of physics to help the system. Yea, most casing put the sidepanel fan as intake, but as far as we all know, we know that Lian-Li casings put the sidepanel fan as exhaust. What do you think bro? |

IMO deciding which one as intake or exhaust depends on the placement of the fan (height).
if you notice casings generally use the front panel fan as intake and the fan at the back (near PSU) as exhaust. |

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Jun 29 2007, 10:54 PM) Okay bro, since you're the Sifu, let me ask you something, what about the sidepanel fan? perhaps LianLi made that design for a purpose of blowing out the hot air produced by graphic card.. Yea, most casing put the sidepanel fan as intake, but as far as we all know, we know that Lian-Li casings put the sidepanel fan as exhaust. What do you think bro? but if we think logically, its quite 'bad' to suck out the fresh air that are supposed to be used to cool down the graphic card.. so, intake is better..at least we can cool our soundcard and mobo as well This post has been edited by kalakatu: Jun 29 2007, 11:46 PM |

well, in any case it better to have one direction air flows.. just intake from front and exhaust at back... no need top and left.

hmm...if the position of side panel fan is at the top left side leh? means at the position of Proc with a turbine.... the fan should be intake or outtake? how about the position of side panel fan hole is in the middle of side panel or bottom left(graphic card)?
2nd ques... the Proc fan is blowing the air to the heat sink or sukin air from heatsink? |
