Depends on the criteria you are focus on. If refresh rate is important, and if you hate notch and pwm, then op7 pro is totally worth it. Otherwise, the answer is no.

As for me, I was planning to go back to OnePlus this year due to its huge improvement on their screen. But that price (prediction) is slowly turning me off.....

The price is no longer an advantage. Now I need a reason to justify why I should go for op7t instead of Samsung s10/note10. Damn it!
*
from what I could observe so far, main selling point of OnePlus all these years is the software, pricing is out of the picture this year it seems

but then Samsung One Ui vs the latest Oxygen, is the difference that big? TOMEI-R

as for hardware, it seems OP7 Pro have a few advantages this time, the 90hz screen + UFS 3.0 storage. but they are sacrificing IP rating and the headphone jack

i dont mind the punch hole screen on S10+ so the notchless screen is not really a selling point to me, but I have concerns with the durability of the pop out camera

camera performance also seems just OK. the ultra wide camera output seems worse than P30 Pro and S10+ even, from GSMArena review

then there's the Note10 coming as well

They have a copy cat of Samsung’s Edge Lighting now bro, they call it Horizon Light smile.gif
*
Still I prefer the old school Led notification. Edge lightning consumes quite a bit of battery juice. Not sure about Horizon light though.

QUOTE(Max2006 @ May 15 2019, 11:46 AM)
Yes. But most of the tech YouTubers said otherwise. They claimed that op7 pro camera performance is not on par with other flagships

Hence the conspiracy theory comes again, which is saying that nowdays dxo mark is not as reliable as it used to be.
*
Well, we will just have to wait for the official reviews to come out then. To me Im not too concerned about the camera part because I only use my Iphone Xs Max or S10+ for picture taking.

Already announced my retirement when I started the current S10+ thread tongue.gif so all good I guess

I would say Oxygen is more matured in terms of development. The Beta Community is really strong and supportive in assisting the development team come up with frequent updates. Oneplus 6 and 6T users could even get android Q beta running on their phones since last week. Oxygen users like me would definitely prefer Oxygen compared to other android OS in the market.

Samsung has come a long way since Samsung Touchwiz to Samsung Experience to One Ui. I have to admit there are still many flaws and issues on One UI and it would take a while for Samsung developers to address all the issues on One Ui but I think they are doing a good job on it.

Samsung. Surprised right? They gave it out to Oneplus instead of using it on their own flagships first. Anyway, it's a win-win situation. The more Oneplus 7 pro sold, the more profits Samsung gain.

Really out of the norm for samsung to supply something better to other brands, especially the screen without releasing on their own flagship first

I guess we can expect the sane screen on the Note 10 as well then

I doubt it. Based on their previous marketing pattern, the Note series screen usually is on par, if not, slightly better than the S series. In other words, Samsung may only fine tune the screen on Note 10, but the spec detail is still the same with S10. same goes to the camera department. As most people said, Note and S are basically the same thing, except for some special fine tunings and of course, that S pen.

My best guess. Samsung probably will save the 90hz screen for next year S11 series.

Agree, Samsung let OnePlus use the screen to test market. Maybe later will come out another enhanced version on coming note10

the review about battery life of 7 Pro is really vary. I wouldnt take any reviewer result for battery life as decisive conclusion.

Linus for example said its better than 6t, Dave2D got 7 hours SOT, The Verge also has the same result as Linus, MKBHD got bad result but he did said he use 90hz all the time. GSM also got short SOT. Its really not consistent. well as expected when talking about battery life.

I think the main reason why MKBHD got bad result is because of the brightness level he is using. I watch his videos quite often and I noticed he always crank up the brightness level on his phone to a very high position.

To recap the pricing of Oneplus 6 when released are RM2799 which is only like RM100 different to US price which is $630. Not RM800 price different. dafuq.

Oneplus 6 was distributed by MiHan

Oneplus 7 Pro is distributed by Xianfeng

I think we know who's the culprit in here..... mad.gif

Btw, latest news from MiHan

https://www.facebook.com/186607368787724/po...42203533228105/

Well, it does make sense now. Better cabut fast fast before the fans start to rush into their facebook and complain about the insane pricing. LOL.

Samsung supplies the amoled panels to Oneplus. Erm... if you would ask me, I would say no. Unless you are a hardcore Oneplus fan like me. tongue.gif
