QUOTE(attw @ May 15 2019, 09:30 AM) Yeah, won’t be surprised if the availability for the 7 is limited. I think they’ll push more on the Pro. Yes. Last night I watched many reviews. One of them mentioned that the non-pro version is only available in Asia and Europe region. No wonder last night they didn't introduce non-pro version at New York launch. Apparently OnePlus plan to release the highest spec only in US to compete with the other flagships. No more cheap OnePlus for US. This post has been edited by Max2006: May 15 2019, 10:53 AM

QUOTE(k8zw3ll @ May 15 2019, 10:34 AM) OnePlus 7 Pro : 6/128 GB (RM3599), 8/128 GB (RM3899) and 12/256 GB (RM4399) Read here to follow the story LINKWtf!? The mark up is too damn high! Why why why? This new distributor is so greedy. I can only hope that his insider info is incorrect. Or the local distributor will change the price before launching....

QUOTE(zubayr @ May 15 2019, 11:13 AM) was tempted, but looks like i'm gonna settled with 6T for this year.. next year perhaps To be honest, this is the turning point for OnePlus to move forward to high end flagship territory. If that local price prediction is true, that can only means local distributor wants to take this opportunity to milk more money from the fans. And based on the previous trend, the price will only go higher and higher for following years. In other words, OP6T will be the last RM2XXX phone we can get. As for non-pro version, I am sure they will mark up the price as well. Probably closed to RM3000..... This post has been edited by Max2006: May 15 2019, 11:25 AM

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ May 15 2019, 11:35 AM) so.... whats everyone opinion if someone were to trade in S10+ for OP7 Pro? (will the Pro even be available in Msia?) No. No trade in. Even they do have trade in programme, it will be only available to OnePlus devices. And yes. The pro is available in Malaysia. The main local distributor already announced it on their Facebook. Now we are waiting for local launch on 21 May to see the price. This post has been edited by Max2006: May 15 2019, 12:00 PM

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ May 15 2019, 11:40 AM) But someone did mention that the OP7 Pro got 2nd on DXO's smartphone camera reviews??? Yes. But most of the tech YouTubers said otherwise. They claimed that op7 pro camera performance is not on par with other flagships Hence the conspiracy theory comes again, which is saying that nowdays dxo mark is not as reliable as it used to be.

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ May 15 2019, 11:45 AM) What I mean is what are you guys opinion if someone were to trade in S10+ for OP7 Pro? Are the changes worth it? Depends on the criteria you are focus on. If refresh rate is important, and if you hate notch and pwm, then op7 pro is totally worth it. Otherwise, the answer is no. As for me, I was planning to go back to OnePlus this year due to its huge improvement on their screen. But that price (prediction) is slowly turning me off..... The price is no longer an advantage. Now I need another reason to justify why I should go for op7t instead of Samsung s10/note10. Damn it! This post has been edited by Max2006: May 15 2019, 12:01 PM

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ May 15 2019, 01:07 PM) Btw anyone know the supplier of the 90hz screen? Samsung. Surprised right? They gave it out to Oneplus instead of using it on their own flagships first. Anyway, it's a win-win situation. The more Oneplus 7 pro sold, the more profits Samsung gain.

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ May 15 2019, 01:17 PM) I guess we can expect the sane screen on the Note 10 as well then I doubt it. Based on their previous marketing pattern, the Note series screen usually is on par, if not, slightly better than the S series. In other words, Samsung may only fine tune the screen on Note 10, but the spec detail is still the same with S10. same goes to the camera department. As most people said, Note and S are basically the same thing, except for some special fine tunings and of course, that S pen. My best guess. Samsung probably will save the 90hz screen for next year S11 series. This post has been edited by Max2006: May 15 2019, 01:25 PM

QUOTE(Rhetoric @ May 15 2019, 01:30 PM) the review about battery life of 7 Pro is really vary. I wouldnt take any reviewer result for battery life as decisive conclusion. Linus for example said its better than 6t, Dave2D got 7 hours SOT, The Verge also has the same result as Linus, MKBHD got bad result but he did said he use 90hz all the time. GSM also got short SOT. Its really not consistent. well as expected when talking about battery life. I think the main reason why MKBHD got bad result is because of the brightness level he is using. I watch his videos quite often and I noticed he always crank up the brightness level on his phone to a very high position.

QUOTE(Rhetoric @ May 15 2019, 01:44 PM) To recap the pricing of Oneplus 6 when released are RM2799 which is only like RM100 different to US price which is $630. Not RM800 price different. dafuq. Oneplus 6 was distributed by MiHan Oneplus 7 Pro is distributed by Xianfeng I think we know who's the culprit in here..... Btw, latest news from MiHan https://www.facebook.com/186607368787724/po...42203533228105/Well, it does make sense now. Better cabut fast fast before the fans start to rush into their facebook and complain about the insane pricing. LOL. This post has been edited by Max2006: May 15 2019, 01:54 PM

First impression review from Amanz website. And yes, the writer is the one who revealed the local price this morning. https://amanz.my/2019204983/?fbclid=IwAR1Vp..._M77uZHMF9is2iAThe last part: QUOTE OnePlus 7 Pro akan dilancarkan secara rasmi di Malaysia pada 21 Mei. Sama-sama kita nantikan. QUOTE(attw @ May 15 2019, 07:20 PM) Ohh noooo... more moving parts... What to do? So far this is the only way to avoid the notch/holes. We probably need to wait until next 1 or 2 years before we can see the true full screen, bezelless, no motorized part phone. Samsung is working on that now, trying hard to hide the selfie camera beneath the screen. This post has been edited by Max2006: May 15 2019, 07:27 PM

QUOTE(Rhetoric @ May 16 2019, 12:26 PM) are they really goint to release 3 phone this year?. If they are im pretty sure the leakers would already mention something about it. even Note10 already starting to leak out. Still no clue yet. But since they already released 2 different phones in this year, and the Pro obviously is the better one and premium one, may be the Pro is the T now. Who knows?

QUOTE(attw @ May 16 2019, 07:36 PM) If that is the case, no chance of us getting it below RM3k here then... Basically, >RM3000 is a sure thing. Now I only hope it will be around RM3200-3300.

QUOTE(Seng89 @ May 17 2019, 10:54 AM) From op3 to op7 pro definitely big upgrade.. but for some oulf us, the price in Malaysia set doesn't worth it. I'm also op fan. Getting import set instead of my set. Definitely many user will getting import too. Mine is from Grand daddy OP1 jump to OP7 PRO. Haha. I actually already decided. Expensive or not, I will still grab this phone. Watched dozens of reviews, this is the perfect phone for me. I always wish to have a fastest & smoothest phone with great screen. Samsung does have the best screen, but their os is never as smoother as OP. Until this day, My OP1 is smoother than my Note 9 in term of os scrolling. No kidding! Don't get me wrong. Note 9 is a very fast phone. But when it comes to smoothness, it still cannot fight with some other flagships. So ya. OP7 PRO is a dream come true for me. Just hope that they will include some freebies, or trade in, or whatever. This post has been edited by Max2006: May 17 2019, 11:18 AM

QUOTE(black_Zer0 @ May 17 2019, 11:11 AM) Sexy phone. Love the full screen since I'm not a selfie person, I don't really even need the front camera. First impressions from MKBHD seems to say it doesn't have a good camera, but it seems to hold its own by other reviewers. Only downside is probably the battery life? 2k screen + 90 hz, it's definitely a big hit to the battery life. However, you can adjust it based on your preference. If battery life is important to you, then change to fhd, or switch to 60hz. Either way, it's not a big issue since you have 30 warp charger. Imo, this alone already solve your battery life problem.

QUOTE(Lon3Rang3r00 @ May 17 2019, 11:27 AM) Yes!! I do hope they can have PwP for the bullets wireless 2. Otherwise extra cables? I wonder if the cable is the same as Dash charge? if it look identical i scare i confuse the Warp Charge cable with my Dash Charge cable. Saw shopee Selling the *braided* cable https://shopee.com.my/OnePlus-Mclaren-Warp-...0007.2062819110Ya. Most likely extra cable or car charger. But since now we have new distributor, I hope they will be more "creative" this time. Lol.

QUOTE(attw @ May 17 2019, 02:54 PM) What about Google apps and services? Those are not available on China sets right? Must sendiri flash flash ah? Nah. No worry about that. If you buy AP set such as China set, the seller will flash the phone to Oxygen OS for you.

One of the local tech news site zinggadget reported about the latest input of Oneplus product in sirim database. And ya. It seems only Oneplus 7 pro is found. Either XianFeng don't plan to bring in the Non-ori version, or they will only release Non-pro in here at much later date. Attached thumbnail(s)
