To be honest, this is the turning point for OnePlus to move forward to high end flagship territory. If that local price prediction is true, that can only means local distributor wants to take this opportunity to milk more money from the fans. And based on the previous trend, the price will only go higher and higher for following years. In other words, OP6T will be the last RM2XXX phone we can get. As for non-pro version, I am sure they will mark up the price as well. Probably closed to RM3000.....

Ya, they’ve moved from that “flagship killer” monicker. It’s now just flagship period.

And that’s why some people will bring up the lack of flagship features like IP rating, wireless charging and 3.5mm jack.

Should be if local price not too far off from announced US price.
I’m going with

6/128 - 2988
8/256 - 3388
12/256 - 3788

* can also replace “88” with “99”
If that is the price I’ll take my money and give it to Huawei for a Mate 20 Pro/X. I just want to try stuffs. smile.gif

I see that pricing, I lembih d

It’s coming bro for sure, just a question of when. I’m guessing we’ll be told the exact date and price during the official local launch next week smile.gif

currently there are 2 distributors? Mi Han and Xiangfeng. I see both FB also advertising the OP7.

The only advantage I see on the OP7Pro is the screen only... other than that, other flagships are comparable/better.

I already expected the Oneplus 7 Pro going to be in above rm3000 territory because of higher frame rate screen, curved screen and extra camera.

It is still good that there are normal version Oneplus 7.

As bro TOMEI-R said, 3.5mm jack got removed since the predecessor, and there's always workout around aka converter for it. So no comment on that. laugh.gif

And camera dept wasn't Oneplus selling point ever since the beginning of their Oneplus one line, but then tons of effort has been put on by OP team and it got improved by alot after all these year. Nonetheless, speaking of user experience I bet hardly there's custom OS can beat OxygenOS for now.

But someone did mention that the OP7 Pro got 2nd on DXO's smartphone camera reviews???

QUOTE(Aaronnnnnn @ May 15 2019, 10:16 AM)
yeah but OnePlus always boasting about listening to their user...
a lot of users asked OnePLus to bring back headphone jack lol
*
I want Oneplus to bring back the headphone jack, though the Samsung earbuds are really an advancement over wired earphones, both sound wise and convenience.

No. No trade in. Even they do have trade in programme, it will be only available to OnePlus devices.

And yes. The pro is available in Malaysia. The main local distributor already announced it on their Facebook. Now we are waiting for local launch on 21 May to see the price.

Can't bro. You have to hold on to the S10+ till the end of it's lifecycle. That is why I don't prefer to be TS to any smartphone threads. tongue.gif

If Pro is available I guess its the first 5G phone to be available here? Pro comes standard with 5G modem right?

Yes. But most of the tech YouTubers said otherwise. They claimed that op7 pro camera performance is not on par with other flagships

Hence the conspiracy theory comes again, which is saying that nowdays dxo mark is not as reliable as it used to be.

the Pro's DxOMark score is ridiculously high for a camera that almost ALL reviewers said to be just alright in the price range they are playing in. Looks like another undertable deal again huh.

curved display + no jack + no wireless charging + average camera, oh my... guess I have to look elsewhere
*
This.
When you look at those who review camera with thier sample....many complain the picture is soft on wide, over expose ..... which kind of let down with the price for phone....many recommended to used G cam mod to shadow over one plus cam software

Furthermore what the point of 90 mhz screen while killing the battery...which later the optimize it to run sporadically if software required

Depends on the criteria you are focus on. If refresh rate is important, and if you hate notch and pwm, then op7 pro is totally worth it. Otherwise, the answer is no.

As for me, I was planning to go back to OnePlus this year due to its huge improvement on their screen. But that price (prediction) is slowly turning me off.....

The price is no longer an advantage. Now I need another reason to justify why I should go for op7t instead of Samsung s10/note10. Damn it!
