Emart (Sarawak, not Korea), Everrise, Mr DIY: ShopeePay merchants, can use Spaylater as well.
The cashier scan your ShopeePay/Spaylater QR, select to use Shopee Coins (25% capped at 3000 coins ie RM30 / 24 hours). Spaylater/ShopeePay to pay 75% only.

If you scan pink Duitnow QR, then you can't use Coins.

My experience with Shopee Pay have deteriorated quite significantly. I do not want to get the Shopee Pay app, don’t want any new app in my phone, and only want to use the Shopee shopping platform only to make payments.

But looks like they really wanted to make the app experience more miserable so that user will eventually install the Shopee Pay app.

I wonder why when I make payment in Shopee App, scan QR then it ask for my face recognition. So several times I’m stuck for like a minute in front of cashier to let the system recognise my face (get the thing to turn green) then only I can authorise payment.

Previously it was much simpler, just key in pin then done.

I agree with you on this matter.

It is understandable that the facial recognition is implemented for the sake of security.

However, for practicality, the facial recognition should be prompted for only the first QR payment via Shopee App, and the subsequent QR payments via Shopee App will require only PIN.

Sometimes, I need several attempts to pass the facial recognition. bangwall.gif As such, the cashier started to become very impatient and urged me to pay with cash, instead of e-Wallet.

I could only pacify the cashier, before finally passing the facial recognition and showing the payment confirmation page of Shopee App to the cashier.

Not sure how much , but recent one I pay rm100 it triggers the face recognition.

But I think previous one less than rm100 which I saw from Transaction history also triggered the facial recognition but I forgot which transaction.

Once a while like this. Earlier can, then cannot, then OK again and now cannot. I experience it all the time and I'm used to it already. laugh.gif

Shopee ecomm app too bloated for an ewallet for low end device. New spay app quite good. easier to navigate and see their offerings like insurans, bill, prepaid, etc

Nowadays, we no longer get SPayLater cashback, whether payment is made via scanning the QR code in Pos Malaysia counters, and via POS PAM scanning our QR code on our ShopeePay app, right?

In fact Seamoney Capital should not allow Spaylater (BNPL) to pay Duitnow QR merchants who don't sign up for credit card fund / BNPL (only fund sourced from CASA, ewallet). Just like you can't use credit card account, Grabpaylater to pay those Duitnow QR merchants.

Maybe Seamoney Capital wants to boost up the figure. But BNPL will be regulated soon under Consumer Credit Act and Consumer credit Oversight Board.

ya probably..
previously all Duitnow QR merchants cn support SPayLater..
recently all these merchants no longer supported.

but noted that their associate RytPayLater did allow all Duitnow QR merchant to use.
they even ask u to set RytPayLater as your default payment method when scanning QR pay.

HI all,
I'd like to ask, if I place order in Lazada then choose COD payment, then during delivery the courier guy would let me scan a Duitnow QR right?
1) Is that a fund transfer QR or a payment QR?
2) If payment QR, is Spaylater accepted?
Thanks in advance.

I think they receive payment depend on the courier guy whether to accept QR payment or not. I think is their personal one. At lazada u can select duitnow QR for payment method.
