ahhhh it was only recently after all the 1% con fee that I actively use ShoppeePay. Before that, over similar reasons (slow because have to launch Shopping app then get into ewallet). But of late, T@NGo has so much popups that it's not much different compared to Shoppee.

My Shopeepay app have issue, it says I cannot verify and my IC is taken.

On top of that Spaylater in the app also doesn't work, but works fine on the Shopee app.

yes, i found that Spaylater won't work in the new Shopeepay app.
no option to select payment tenure and the payment will stuck and eventually failed.

Because banks / acquirer used put their marketplace + shopeepay together

I believe with the new app, it will be new MID hence new MCC and the beginning towards 1% charge

It remains to be seen whether they will charge a competitive rate or not

Yep, this is the beginning of the end of no CC topup fee for their ShopeePay

I have practically stop using all other ewallets n mainly use ShopeePay due to 0% cc topup. These other ewallets r closing down 1by1. Shopeepay could be the last standing with their b2c biz support.

ShopeePay won't be the last one, TNG and S Pay Global would last for long.

Seamoney owns 49.99% of YTL Digital Bank a.k.a. Ryx Bank. Ryx Bank account and debit card may override ShopeePay.

B2C support won't be as much as the amount of people reloading into ShopeePay using CC

The money loaded most of the time, does not stay within the Shopee ecosystem as intended

Need to take into the additional cost of transfer between ewallets, bank QRs; additional settlement needs as well as on top of the CC charges

I am gonna lean towards within 6 months, Shopee with introduce CC reload charge to shopeepay

S Pay Global is Sarawak e-Wallet? Can non Sarawak residents use?

Why not?
Now can scan pink Duitnow QR and pay, not only S Pay Global QR.

But not eligible for SKAS (Sumbangan Keperluan Asas Sarawak) and "pocket money" for University students.

A separate app for ShopeePay is such a good idea. Appreciate that Shopee came out with this idea. I believe the 0% CC charge may not sustain for too long anymore but enjoy it while it lasts.

Any strong point if compared with Shopeepay?

To receive Sarawak Government aid/fund.
Pay for parking, government bills in Sarawak.
Pay at hawker centre and kopitiams where no other ewallet is accepted. Around 20 sen (+/-) shake rewards will be given.

However, now I may use Spaylater/ShopeePay to scan new S Pay Global's Pink Duitnow QR and pay. A lot of merchants have not changed to pink QR yet.

P/S: top up S Pay Global: Government-related transaction so no CB/reward from Credit cards.

No significant benefit for non-Sarawak resident like me, stick to Shopeepay/SPaylater until got a new e-wallet

Pay at KK Super Mart and get 20 sen +/- shake reward!

Any diff between apps and shopee?

ShopeePay+Spaylater+Airpay modules are moving out from Shopee App only.
Eventually Shopee App will be purely a online shopping App, like AirAsia App (where you can see Bigpay balance) and Lazada App (TNG Wallet balance).
