Hi. Does Illegear have the updated BIOS for Illegear RS-15?

I checked that miine is on v1.0.3, and I heard that the latest BIOS for this model is actually v1.0.5. The latest BIOS eliminates a host of problems for those who are on older BIOS who upgraded to windows 10.

I read that basically those who are on this model, who upgraded to windows 10 should use this BIOS. This BIOS update would make sure that most problems (which I once reported here / via email) would have been negated / eliminated.

Hi hyperyouth_firepower, I would recommend for you to send in the laptop to our office to perform the BIOS flashing to the latest version as improper flashing procedure will impose a risk of bricking the device.

However for sending in the laptop, I would recommend for you to drop by between Tuesday - Friday for the shortest processing time, hope this clarifies.

When I was digging around my Raven, I checked through the Raven Command Centre installation folder and found a 5 minute 55 seconds mp3 file named "oobeaaron" in C:\Program Files\OEM\Raven Command Center\OOBE.

What is this mp3 file doing on my laptop?

Hi Dylan, kindly noted that the mp3 file named "oobeaaron" is normal. You can just keep it in your laptop as usual.

OOBE stands for out of the box experience , when you refresh windows or launch windows for first time. It will do some setup

So while setting up maybe they have included a music or something - I wouldn't know or cant say what it's doing


You can even build your own windows distribution for it

How much charge for a bios flashing?

Does the RAVEN support dual boot with any linux distro? if so, which one? Ubuntu ? Fedora?

it probably does with either two physical storage drives (recommended) or multiple partitions (not so recommended).
