Yes there are cases whereby some big brands will 'HONOR' the deal based on the mistaken price.. but this is normal M'sian car dealer.. don't expect much.

Ya la, you can fight for it la.. but whether or not its worth the effort, time and nights sleep you decide.

So you decide if this kind of 'transaction' is worth fighting for as you may feel it's against general trading principles and you feel that the dealer deserves to be thought a lesson.

Just remember people make mistakes and as you indicated the SA made an apology, so perhaps just close one eye and move on man. But that's just me

Best advice, I'd do the same because I don't have the energy and resources to drag, not because I think it's supposed to be like this.
Unfortunately this is the reason they are free to take our deposits and not honour the deal for whatever reasons. No loss, only gains (selling to other buyer at higher price, or selling another car to the sohai who agrees to buy another car after they screwed him).

What the dealer does is his business, he answer to his own consciousness. For me of course if it was me I choose forgiveness as the world could be a kinder and better place: I only lost slight time, some hassle, small amount of bank interest on deposit. but obviously TS and many doesn't see it that way 😉

Tell it to those car dealers. Kindness goes both ways, not a one-way traffic. If the buyer makes the mistake and decided he cannot buy the car, tell the dealer to return him his deposit out of kindness and forgiveness, lah.
