item 5 reminds me of a story... he is my mech's friend, bought a recon audi and has been driving for close to 3 years... one day he lost his immobilizer.. so he went to audi to get a copy. lo and behold when the VIN was entered, the car was reported stolen in UK... audi didn't want to replicate his key.
