For new car with warranty, if I just want a dash cam that record while driving and auto off when engine stop or in parking..the safest choice is connect to the cigaratte port?

Yup I agreed with you too, it totally up to manufacturers to decide if it voids or not hence they reserved the rights. When I was surveying dashcam for my new car that is soon to be deliver next week, the seller kept telling me we don’t cut wire and just tap to the fuse for power so warranty confirm no void, yet I am still doubtful. Checking with service centre got me same respond that they reserve to rights to void.

End up now I don’t want to install any dash cam haha. Too bad my car manufacturer also no offer their own brand dashcam. 

I also think no need dashcam, all my cars old car without dashcam

I bought the n5 dual during 9.9, gonna install it when the sd card comes, hopefully its a good choice

btw I want to ask if the app footage  can view by multiple user or same account log in different phone? because very mahuan if only 1 person can see

Hi all, got a 2004 Avanza and would like to add a dashcam. Someone recommended adding an android player with 360 camera but I think that one too difficult.

My budget for dashcam is about RM200-400. Car windscreen is also tinted.

Bought a 2-channel Viofo A139 4K Pro in Dec 2023 and it suddenly got stuck in a reboot loop starting from last week. Searched around a saw a number of people complaining about the issue online. Unfortunately for me, looks like the warranty period is only for 1 year in Malaysia.

A 1400+ camera (bought the parking kit as well) down the drain in a year. Thinking of trying another manufacturer this round. Any recommendations?

Edit: Just to add, hardly drive this car. I get a 30% rebate from Etiqa's DLSM program as I work from home. It's always parked indoors in my condo carpark. Quite disappointed that it has broken down so quickly. The last Viofo A119 worked great for ~6 years.

My DDPAI z40 bracket holder is broken. Most likely due to heat over the years (my car is park outdoor 24/7) and bumping due to uneven road I guess. So my unit can’t be attached to the holder anymore.

Anyone faced this issue before? How to fix it? Or what tape can be used? There is an option of buying the holder only but I try to avoid this if possible, as it might spoil my tinted when pulling out the old unit.

This will involves the removal of the current mount. Any other methods to remain with current mount and stick the dashcam on it? Preferably this way so I don’t need to risk spoiling my tint

Hi all the sifu here, I am thinking of getting DDPAI z50 pro with 4G, anyone using this? Does the 4G drain car battery very fast?

Does ur dash cam capture the number plate during the night, in the condition with and without road light?

how old is your battery and do you run aftermarket audio or additional items? Im just curious.  I have a 70mai 510s hardwire w 4g, even w cut off at 12.4v my new battery died under 10 months. Car is stock standard no additional or modifications done... Now I off 24/7 (timelapse) recording.
