Any thoughts on the Rexing V1P 3rd gen dual cam?

Ya am combing youtube for all the reviews i can find.

thinking of 1 unit with rear cam disabled so it can record at 4K at the front, then one more unit at the rear recording at 1080P with the secondary camera mounted on the B pillar recording the interior (esp the dashboard and driver seat belt)

@blurjoey I Googled the OBD port and that method seems simple and neat enough. But this is the first time I heard bout using OBD port to power the dashcam. Is there any catch with using this method / y isn't this method being used by many people?

@Winter@7 I only go to the shop to remove the hardwire when I need to claim warranty right? For normal servicing at the SC, no need right? scared they make note bout the hardwiring during servicing...  Do you have any recommendations on any good accesories shop which can do this within Klang Valley?

No, if strict enough, you have to remove it for every single visit to the SC. So better you learn how to remove and reconnect yourself. Cuz your car might break down suddenly, electrical fault and requires towing to the SC. Going to tow first to the shop to remove then only SC? Hassle..   Like being said, some centers will take note of every single mod done on the car. Whether "plug n play" or not. All grounds to deny warranty claim should they desire.

No service centre ar that can hardwire the dashcam and still be under warranty.. why dont they provide this as an extra service :0

I really think this is like a missed opportunity for them to provide aftermarket dashcam or to increase their sales profit etc ...

Some of us prefer peace of mind knowing with sc doing the hardwiring of dashcam the warranty is intact.. this kind of people are more willing to pay extra for installation servic.

Dashcam also universal ma.. no need to tailored for each car model etc...

Viofo A119 v2 should fit your budget. Not sure if it's suction though. BTW, I read that suction comes out easily after some time. I guess due to the rubber being under the sun. Then again, finding a replacement is not that hard for that.

actually which car cam you guys recommended with similar function to 70mai pro? i need the parking mode without tapping the cable to fuse box/battery. i mean the cam have the capability either auto wake up by vibration or motion detection (during engine off, parking mode), but with capacitor...

Me not pro.. But I will say no.

Unless you tap your dash cam to external battery, then that external battery go fuse or power plug.

Planning to get a new dashcam for my car. My car will be put under the hot sun most of the time, read through the threads in the forum and found out that if buying dashcam like XiaoMi's one, it might not last long. What will you guys recommend for a car that parked under hot sun most of the time?

Saw the Thinkware F800 pro review by TS, it bugs me as it can't even capture the road plate number clearly during night time at such price (or I should rephrase it as I can't even read the road plate properly, even when the car is stopped.)
