Every month they will still deduct my installment amount as normal from my current account. Other than that, I paying extra by doing principal payment to reduce the principal loan amount. This will reduce my interest charged.

right. so how do you pay extra? that would be my question. as in before the next payment, do you transfer extra money into the loan account?and have you ever tried taking it out those amount you put in?

I paying extra by doing principle prepayment. It's actually transfer the $$ into the loan account.

mine also rise until 5.2% (previously 5.1%) asb loan but BNM was just announced cut interest rate again today. Not sure whether ASB loan will drop or not next month. If base on the newspapers say reduce 0.25%, will my asb loan drop till 4.95%?

My mortgage loan also got increased.

I think it will take time for RHB to readjust it's rate following BNM's OPR change today, so I think will need to pay the extra monthly amount for few months at least

Just noticed this thread. My total loan tenure & monthly installment didn't change at all when TS opened this thread (when the rate went up?) and also when it goes down few days ago.

Anything that I need to check?
