Guys,
For those who bought M20P thru lazada/shopee, is it really matter if the phone delivered unsealed (open box) to you ?

QUOTE(abahwafi @ Apr 15 2019, 07:51 PM) Guys, My friend bought the 2549 unsealed. The box is rewrapped tightly with plastic wrapper. The phone is Malaysia set as checked with SIRIM website on its IMEI.For those who bought M20P thru lazada/shopee, is it really matter if the phone delivered unsealed (open box) to you ? The warranty period started before you make the purchase (one or two days earlier), how do the seller know the next day you will purchase it? If you try to register the phone, Huawei website will say already registered under another account. So, you decide this is acceptable or not. |

For what purpose they register early ya?The warranty period started before you make the purchase (one or two days earlier), how do the seller know the next day you will purchase it? Why would the seller take the effort to rewrap tightly with plastic after they open up your phone? The warranty period started before you make the purchase (one or two days earlier), how do the seller know the next day you will purchase it? If you try to register the phone, Huawei website will say already registered under another account. So, you decide this is acceptable or not. I think seller can register the warranty without open up the phone. They should have all the SN and IMEI with them without open the phone. |

Unless there is some kind of incentive for them when they power up the phone and register via an app or online?I think seller can register the warranty without open up the phone. Yes. I asked one the online seller for Samsung. He said they sell so cheap because they want to register the phone and claim the incentive from Samsung. But i just dont how they do that and why they will need to open up the phoneThis post has been edited by shauyan: Apr 16 2019, 09:02 AM |

QUOTE(jhleo1 @ Apr 15 2019, 08:47 PM) Why uncomfortable? You afraid they will put a used unit in? QUOTE(shauyan @ Apr 16 2019, 08:41 AM) Why would the seller take the effort to rewrap tightly with plastic after they open up your phone? Not sure how Huawei works. But for Samsung, they need to register it by opening connecting the phone to the internet. Why they can't let the user do it (like Apple), I am not sure. QUOTE(attw @ Apr 16 2019, 10:06 AM) Yeah, I remember buying Samsung phones from Qoo10 previously as well, they were all opened and resealed. Yup. For such a new model (pre order time), I don't think one will get a used unit. |

Ya, Apple’s warranty is activated when the device is powered up for the first time and can be easily checked online. That’s as seamless as it gets Not sure how Huawei works. That’s as seamless as it gets I just asked Samsung shop. It's Samsung's SOP to do so, probably to activate the warranty on the same date as the receipt date. Otherwise the shop will be penalized by Samsung Msia. :xNot sure if this is the same for Huawei. |
