Not true, you can always check the list from MBB website.
Besides Sg and HK, there are several common airports for Msian flyers including:
Shanghai, Taiwan, London, UAE, India etc.
Only Melb and Brisbane need to pay.

*
That is not correct ....no need to pay to use in BNE and Mel....the footnote is an internal note indicating how much the bank has to pay on behalf of cardholders, for the australian lounges being higher than others.....

hmm... what i think is too troublesome... need to carry luggage and pay the transport cost to KLIA2. Got free shuttlebus?
*
Lots of people do that, if if you have time to spare....

The KLIA express takes only 3 min and cost only RM2. There is a free bus shuttle, but is too inconvenient....

Regarding the Wellness Spa at KLIA2, say if I'm returning (arrival) via gate P or Q, is there any way that I can still go over there to get some food? As they are on different levels if I'm not wrong.

Thanks
*
Klia2 separates arrival from departure.....so no access to airside lounges on arrival....

Does anyone have an idea on visit to any PPL when arrive Changi T4?
*
If you are only arriving, then no access....

If you are also departing (ie transiting), then you can go into the departure area....then you have access to blossoms....or if you have enough time, take a shuttle to T1(ppl) or T2(tgm)....

actually if only arriving without baggage, can. if you have baggage, then cannot

I tried before arriving @ T2, but clear customs @ T3, because my colleague from Indonesia arrives @ T3, and we meet up there.
*
T123 have common departure and arrival transit area, and all internally linked, so you can clear immigration in any terminal if you don't have checked in bags...,

T4 is separated from t123, and has departure and arrival separation.....if you are only arriving, you must clear immigration in T4 itself....

How’s the overnight environment? Crowded ,? Able to sleep?
*
There is no proper place to lie down, the closest flat surface is the semicircular seatings....the lights are on, there is persistent noise due to people coming in and out, and eating, despite the late hours...

At that time, it's not crowded so no problem finding a cubicle to yourself....

Only did it because didn't not book a transit hotel in advance, and no room available....

A few years ago, did the same at the old dnata lounge in T1 using priority pass....there was an inner section where the lights could be switched off, took the sofa seats and lay on floor and lie down....had better sleep!....

Have 7.30am flight out from t3, still thinking between the option of transit hotel in airside, landsite or just save the money settle in PPL...
*
If just a few hours, can try the new land side nap rooms at the haven by jetquay.....cheaper than the 6hr blocks at the airside transit hotels....

If I travel alone, I don't mind that lounges....but if with wife, must "open room" lah.....lol

Rm460 per night....just worry over sleep.....

the transit hotels charges about sgd130 for a 6 hr block....

this new hotel charges sgd170 per night.....

if it's just a 6 hrs sleep you want, and have a very early departure, use the airside transit hotel....

if it's a longer stay, especially if the departure is in mid day or later, then can use the yotel....but any downtown hotel will also work...

Guys, all information on early check ins are available in the Changi website....just goggle it lah to check your airline's policy....

For SQ, you can check in up to 48hrs before, buy bag drops only allowed 24hrs before....

If you are on transit connecting same airline within 24hrs, your airline should be able to check you through....

If connecting different airline, then it depends on the agent at your original departure airport if they are willing to check you through....all FSA with interline agreements CAN check through both passenger and bags....but some agents are not willing....

If you are not checked through, then the beauty of the world's best airport comes into play....you can get transited through at the transit area, no need go out and collect bags.... although your bags are only labelled to SIN, on arrival, just go to the transfer desk, show your onward booking, and if within 24hrs/calender day (different airlines different policy) the transfer desk agent can then check you in your next flight, issue boarding passes, AND collect your bags and relabel to your final destination.....without leaving the transit area....you can then go enjoy the lounges....

Note this refers to FSA.... LCC will not be able to accommodate this...

48 hours checkin as in you can get boarding pass and checkin luggage 2 days earlier and enter airside?

not the AirAsia style?
*
Check in bags only 24hrs prior....

Once you enter the transit area, you cannot leave to landside without flying....unless you have a very good reason....

What if you arrive 2200 hr and your flight is next day 1300 hours? It's still within 24 hours but on different day.

I once asked KLIA Malaysia Airline and they say better you take out your luggage.
*
if you are flying sq transiting through changi, there is no problem checking through, even if the next day, have done it many times, and changi is 100% safe.....nobody will break into your bag....

klia on the other hand.....hence mh's advice....

QUOTE(TangkiLOL @ Apr 19 2019, 04:20 PM)
The advanced check in bag/ 24 hours prior departure is for business or economy class also included?

How to check in early if the check in kiosk not yet opened? And always have long queue.

*
aiyo....why must spoonfeed one....google it lah....

sq in all terminals (ie t2 and t3) as well as the new Jewel, has dedicated "early check in" lounges....yes special dedicated separate lounges for early check ins....other airlines have special counters open throughout the specified opening hours for early check in and bag drops...

all class of travel allowed...

people are so used to crappy service (klia) and crappy airlines (aa) that you all are programmed to expect the worst and don't know what"world class" means.....

sq or any first world countries airports different story la... I was referring to klia,  never once I was able to enter international departure earlier than 1 hour b4 departure for lepak due to check in baggage kiosk opening late/economy ticket.

Other airport I rarely have issue because checking in bag kiosk always manned 24/7, rarely has long q.
Unlike klia, most of the airlines have underperformed/confused kiosk staffs, long q, opening at time too close to boarding time. The only opportunity to enjoy few hours in lounge is only by transiting or without checking in baggage I guess.

Anyone knows good deal for checking in sama sama hotel lol?
Like pilots or stewardess who has vacant room etc?
*
MH does allow early bag drop within calender day, if you don't mind the bags in the cargo holding area for a long time....have done before....(also can drop bag night before, but in business class)....

In any case, check ins start usually 3 hrs before.....have arrived 4 hrs prior, queue up, drop bags when it opens and still enjoy 2+hrs of lounge....and sometimes, they just accept your bags even 4 hrs before.....

Next month departing Changi with sq, going to drop bags early and enjoy the new jewel.....lol

The last time I checked in at Taipei airport, same story as KLIA. So KLIA is not the only one. So which other airport are you talking about?
*
Each airport, and each airline has their own policy regarding check in, and bag drops....

Most airports adopts the standard policy of 3 hrs bag drop before flights....Changi stands out as one that encourages transit passengers to visit....they have many extra services to facilitate that ...

In the old days they have the Singapore stopover holidays for as cheap as USD1....they still have the stopover tours...the left luggage charges are cheap.... efficient public transport right to the terminals....

AND.....the long standing policy of early bag drop.....

All with one single simple aim..... encourage you to go downtown and spend money...lol

Another incident, kiosk staff in klia was asking info about return ticket and visa info. As if she were custom officer. wtf.  Asking around her colleagues what to do, unnecessary making awkward situation at the kiosk. I was hoping she would just print my boarding passes I will bear the responsibility if rejected entering in the destination country. Why would she cares?
*
In some destinations, the airlines MUST ensure compliance with immigration rules.... including processing a valid visa, and/or a return/onward booking....failing which the airlines get fined if passenger arrives and gets turned back.......

So it's necessary.... where were you going?.....

I read you can do that in downtown KL Sentral (?) as well.
*
QUOTE(charlesj @ Apr 20 2019, 07:56 PM)
Yup, but I think not when you arrive KLIA and you are compulsory to take their express train.

For Frankfurt airport, you may check in hundreds km away while boarding their train to airport.
*
both are designed into KL Sentral....

only the departure check in at sentral is working....used by mh, od and cx....drop your bags and then ride the train up...

the arrival facility was never used....there is an area near the arrival hall with a carousel for arriving bags....

Of course, have done that a few times....

In fact, if your cc allows, you can enter any of the 3 landside ppl properties in klia2 with any boarding pass.....including arriving pass at KLIA....
