Technically you can if your Card allows and yes-  need boarding pass.

Klia no problem.

Klia2 landside can. Airside no as arrival walkway is separated from departure.

QUOTE(matrix88 @ May 13 2019, 11:16 PM)
can, need boarding pass for registration regardless of departure or arrival.

but for arrival passengers, unless you dont have luggage for reclaim, otherwise not recommended to go to the lounge, as your baggage could be lost. or taken in by someone/security
*
unclear information, not clearly explained....

klia: can, but it's in the transit area, before immigration and luggage....so you bags will be left on the side of the carousel if you are late....no problem is no check in bag....

klia2: no access to airside lounges, as it's in departure area, separate from arrival.....you instead collect your bags, and then can visit one of the 3 land side outlets....

i have. just that there are the reply that i quoted put me in doubt. Plus there are also replies in this thread that said RHB VS can not access aerotel PPL, which is eligible according to post 4.
*
Rhb vs always allowed into tgm....after the recent amendments, someone has confirmed rhb cards are still usable to enter gateway and tgm for domestic flights...

Hi guys, I'm departing domestic via gate J at KLIA2, is it possible to access PPL next to Aerotel?

Food wise which is better, PPL Landside or the one next to Aerotel?
*
We call the original ppl gateway, as that is the location....the new ppl is actually also at gateway, same floor, but because it's opposite aerotel, we call it ppl aerotel....

The aerotel ppl is definitely better all round, except it doesn't have shower....

Entry depends on you card lah....

In general, world card is for travellers so the exchange rate is better than infinite.

Apart from that, usually same.

If Ambank, world is def better than infinite.
*
actually the official rates for both visa and mc are about the same.....but different banks add their own levy on top of the official visa/mc rates....it's this bank imposed levy that is different....

2 cards stand out....as stated the ambank wmc has a low 1% over the mc rate....(normally 2%) and bp mc, which has no levy, for the moment....

i suppose they are not that strict during midnight, as long as not over crowded. i arrived 11pm stay until 5am, my flight is 6.30am. around 4am they start to provide new food, and more guest was here for the breakfest. i notice the washroom is much spacious and clean compare to next to aerotel ppl. i actualy like here more.
*
The space, ambience and food is better in aerotel ppl.....but no shower.....

Gateway ppl is very small and basic, but I will choose if I need a shower.....

For the "name in card" issue,

If i put nickname on my cc instead of full name, (Example:  IC name - LEE AH GAO , CARD name - MIKE LEE)

Can my friends / family member enter lounge if same family name ?
*
You will likely have a problem yourself, if your card name is different from your boarding pass name (which will normally follow IC/passport).....not advisable....

What access does CC lounge access to Aerotel KLIA gives btw? Can you nap in their private bedrooms with shower for 3 hours? Or just sit at their lounge and food?
*
QUOTE(coolguy99 @ May 31 2019, 11:03 AM)
Just sit at their lounge and food. They do not have private bedroom, not sure about shower though.
*
There are 2 ppl lounges at the gateway of KLIA2....the original gateway lounge, and the new aerotel lounge.....both have bedrooms for rent.....

CC grants you access to the lounge only, with the gateway one having shower facility....and now both lounges allow a 1hr use of rooms instead....

Slightly OOT, what is the best option to overnight in klia2, for early flight.
Prefer a bed rather than sleep in lounge.
Budget 80-150.
Do we enjoy discount (with CC entitled PPL access) for aerotel hotel?
Thanks.
*
Tune hotel is the most comfortable, but it's now more than rm200 per night....the day use room rate only for daytime use....

The ppl/aerotel rents at blocks of a few hours, so is an option if you only want say 4-6 hrs....more than that might as well get tune hotel.. .

Otherwise capsule hotel loh.....

Any idea what's the rate for ppl/aerotel?
4-6 hrs is sufficient.
Wanna try out new stuff if the price is reasonable.
Thank you.

I came back from oversea but I have to take baggage first before going back to hometown by local flight.

Got PPL to enter for local flight? Or how to go back international section there?

If at KLIA, check your bags through, and you are free to use the ppl lounge on arrival....

Which airlines?.....if FSA, you can check bags through to final destination, if the check in agent can connect the 2 separate bookings.....

Eg, say dubai-ek-kul-mh-pen.....get ek check in at Dubai to tag your bags to pen......it will be automatically transferred at kul.....

I have different banks card for lounge access.

Can I use card A for my friend's access and card b for my access ?

Card A and B from different banks
*
Using cards from different banks at the same time will unlikely be curtailed, as it breaks no bank rules, and the banks don't coordinate with each other anyway, so they don't know....

How to explain to the lounge staff ? Will they denied my friend access by claiming both card under my name and both card cannot be checked in at one same point of time ? Will they use boarding pass name mismatch as excuse to deny ?

Sorry for long question . Not experienced in lounge
*
They will register as 2 entries under the cardholder's name....most banks now prohibit this using multiple cards under their bank at the same time.....but if different banks, no problem....

As far as the lounges are concerned, they welcome everybody, as long as they are paid.....so if they can charge 2 banks for your entry with your guest, and it's within the guidelines from the banks, they have no problem....if you have 4 eligible cards from 4 banks, you can bring 3 guests in too....even better.....lol
