Also, ambank non-signature cards are now restricted to 5 entries, so should be removed from the "unlimited" list.

Premier banking rhb visa infinite has unlimited entries if spend more then rm100k, otherwise 10 entries. Supplementary cards also eligible...,

Can I Let my parents use my aeon big cc to access the lounge ? Will the receptionist actually check/verify the cc owner ?
*
The name on the card used to enter will be crossed checked against the boarding pass....(or just IC, as happened before)....

However, if you have several cards that allow entry, you can use them to sign in guests like your parents....but will need to be present to sign them in.....

I have two ambank VS cards, the normal one and islamic.

Provided I've spent RM500 with both cards within 30days of my entry, can I use both cards to allow myself and my wife free entry into plaza premium lounge in KLIA?

Sry if this has been asked before but I've scrolled about 5-6 pages of the last thread and couldn't find any info on this, just afraid there's policy changes about using second card to bring in another person.
*
Ambank has prohibited this practice.....but unsure if it's enforced effectively....I know it was still possible to use ambank's extra cards to bring in guests a few months after the rule changed last year....

Just got back from Langkawi, had a walk around the PPL there, pretty darn small PPL, but i guess still worth using if u got a lot of time to kill i guess. At least they have shower facilities.
*
I presume that's purely for domestic travel only?....what cards are accepted?

Just checked with the gateway ppl....still accepts rhb premium cards on domestic travels....

The new aerotel ppl never has contract with rhb anyway.... didn't check with tgm....

So it's still useful for use on domestic travels through klia2....

what happen if the criteria for complimentary access doesn't meet and yet I use the credit card to swipe for PPL?

will the counter staff tell me that the card doesn't entitled for complimentary access because it doesn't meet the requirement (either domestic/international flight, spending amount, premier/priority banking status, etc)?

or they will straight charge full amount of cost that normally will charge to user that enter without complementary access?
*
If by criteria, you mean spending criteria like for ambank, that is not decided by the lounge.....the lounge will just determine contract with the bank, capture the entry, and leave it up the bank to deal with you....the bank will then look at your spending and determine free or charged....

If it's the number of entries, the lounge has no access to such information, so you have to keep track yourself.

I keep a note on my phone.....all my cards, and list all dates and lounges used....so will never exceed.....

Last time I went to SG PPL, I ask how many free entries have I consume . The lady swipe my MBB VI card in the terminal and right away tell me. I think certain banks like MBB allow their data to be shared with PPL?
*
if that is the case, then obviously mbb has opened access to their records, to the ppl group, to retrieve such data....i have asked at msia lounges before (can't remember which card) and they said ask the bank....

each bank has different practices....eg, mbb no need swipe card on the payment terminal.....but rhb does, and need to enter pin on the terminal, like making payment...

Yup SG lounges nvr fail me when I ask, even politely tell me my quota ran out.

They are all under PPL, why can it be so different? I suspect more to staff willing or unwilling to go the extra mile
*
ever tried asking in msian lounges?....or it's bank/card specific?

I just called in to Public Bank CS today to check how many times I have used my card for PPL. Public Bank CS was able to tell me that I have never used for PPL this year, but I use 1 time last year. And FYI, the no. of entitlement goes according to calender year and not card anniversary year.

Later, I called in to MBB Amex CS to check how many times I have used my Singapore Airlines Krisflyer Amex card for PPL, the CS answered me that they need to write in and revert to me after 3 days, but if I go to any PPL, the PPL staff would be able to tell me how many times I have left. And according to credit card page: "Kindly be informed that effective 8th March 2016, access to the Plaza Premium Lounge is now up to a maximum of 5 times per calendar year." So Maybank use calender year too.

Conclusion, different bank have different ways to check the balance of entitlements.

BTW, I am going to travel from Penang - KLIA2 - China. Can I swipe the same card in the same day at Penang airport to enter Penang PPL, then later swipe at PPL KLIA2 beside Aerotel? I am asking rgd  Singapore Airlines Krisflyer Amex card, Aeon Big Visa Gold and Public Islamic Platinum. Tq in advance.
*
It has always been calendar year, never cycle year.....

Whether can use on multiple lounges within the same day, depends on the bank....but since you have different cards from different banks, it's not an issue....

Just checking hsbc Visa Signature Card for Plaza Premium Lounge in Changi airport.

I expect to swipe by two times as below:
1) 18-Jul around 11pm or before 12am
2) 19-Jul around 2-3am

This could be done right since different day ??

sure?
boarding pass is at 18/7 or 19/7 so can only enter on one day, not?
*
There is no rule that limits entry to day of departure only....a flight may be 2am, and you can enter at 10pm the day before.....

I have transited overnight at Changi, ate dinner at tgm, then overnight at ppl.....

As long as you use within the eligibility of your cards....

if no rule, can use one week ago's boarding pass to go in PPL?  tongue.gif
*
technically....as the boarding pass is to establish identity and being a passenger....

however the information contained in the code they scan includes your flight details...and i am sure there is some guidelines, to allow a time frame before and after the actual flight....based on the common travel patterns and transits, i would hazard a guess of from 48hrs before flight to 12hrs after arrival....

RHB used to be able to access tgm....but not sure under the revised conditions..... someone maybe can go ask....

I can't find "International" for PPL KLIA2.
*
There was a contention whether that refers to the type of travel, or the location....

The gateway lounge was silent, and I have just established that the rhb contract with the lounge still cover domestic travels....maybe someone can go ask tgm about this.....

If your bank gives you one free (ie they pay for you), no.....

Of you can subscribe to the program if you want....by paying the appropriate subscription fees depending on the plan you want....

It's a 3rd party program your bank gives you as a perk...
