Because previously my FD rate is 2.85%. I don't plan to keep it short term if possible and would like something long term. Risk as low as possible because I am not familiar with this stuff  biggrin.gif

SIMPLE, as suggested by a forumer above currently gives a projected rate of abt 2.4%

is that ok?

some years ago, it happened to me once in an UT transaction....
i sold off an "undervalued" NAV....few weeks later, informed me and got the reimbursement.

anyway, i think wrong NAVs can happens, thus FIMM has this INCORRECT PRICING OF SCHEME UNITS: CORRECTION AND REIMBURSEMENT standard...

Now I realize my wahed and raiz and samy got elements of equity
My samy portfolio is 80% low risk and 20% high risk
Thanks for calling that out
Again I put little money inside saja
Most of my money is inside P Bond
*
but those money that are not into this P Bond fund will also be subjected to possible "burning" of the retirement money of both you and your spouse

btw, this P bond had also "burned" some people during the 10 days in March

By right, that's the definition of DCA. You keep investing regardless of the market conditions.
*
yes, by definition,...but was pondering it that is applicable to be practised by someone that has the fear of losing some money in an investment that is not capital/returns guaranteed?

If I remove direct debit account in SA, they will still be able to refund to my bank account since SA have my bank details right?
*
may i suggest you stop the bleeding first, then think about the claim later.

they will have to refund you, they can either call you or you call them for ways to refund once the issues are solved (most probably tomorrow, and i am sure SC or BNM will know about it for this issue has impact to the financial services of this country)

just hopefully they will refund with some service recovery sweety attached....like free token drool.gif

you mean you cannot delete your bank a/c from the setting as suggested by lee82gx?

if YES, then tis is BAD......
then when this is over do share with us whether the bug will stop "eat" when it reaches the daily transfer limit set by your bank?

Transfer out your money from that account first. That’s my primary suggestion.
*
QUOTE(joshtlk1 @ Jul 27 2020, 08:25 PM)
I can't cancel too, what you can do is transfer all your money out from the bank tied with StashAway into another bank account.
*
QUOTE(Baenre @ Jul 27 2020, 08:25 PM)
Yea.. I can't delete the bank a/c from SA...
*
then do as suggest by the 2 post above,...just transfer to the daily max limits allowed by your bank....RM30K or RM10k? (or something like that), then do it again after 12.30am....for next day daily limits....
balance will have to let the bug eat.....until hopefully the bank's daily limits will stop it for a while until next day reset of daily limits

anyone have any idea of the duration between each eating?
every 1 hour repeat or 20 minutes or ??
just curious nothing much

After this crazy bug or system glitch will you continue to invest with SAMY or will you switch out to other robo advisor?

i think after this, they should be more wiser....
they know what had happened while some other still don't know and may repeat that same mistakes done by Stashaway

thats why never auto debit/recurring payment

hardworking abit la... if want weekly/monthly/bi-weekly DCA, do it manually

still its scary to think that system can just keep on auto debit/recurring without additional authorisation from account holder
*
i had auto debit payment for my Streamyx a/c, Tenaga, waterbill, astro, credit card and loan repayment....should i be scared? hmm.gif
btw, do you have any of this on Auto debit too?

Don't use main account to do auto debit, just bank in enough fund for auto debit.
*
good idea,
but i will still stick to one, for ease of monitoring and the mentality on "what are the chances of it happening again", the impact scenarios it would cost me and the chances of detection if it were to happens.

i had one duplicated auto debit with one of the GLC in your list, in the end, call my bank, call the GLC, both just push to each other, took me awhile to sort it out, in the end, i decided that no more auto debit for any services.  laugh.gif

No use auto debit.  I prefer manual debit for bill payment.  I dont like the feeling of bank "hilang wang" without my knowledge.

hope you guys has a "next" person(s) to follow on your reocurring payment schedule and know what had to be done, just in case the main person that always do it is on emergency leaves.
for some loan imposed heavy penalty on missed repayment.

you mean if i am in ICU? other than mortgage and hire purchase, the rest has a buffer (deposit), wouldn't be penalized so early.

then your CC or car loans also has buffer in the a/c, i suppose thumbsup.gif
