Lol sit down and relax guys.

SA already rectify the problem and acknowledged. What more do you want?

They say will refund the. Just wait lah.

In this digital era, error can occur even its not suppose to be. Can be human error also from curlec. Why everyone is aiming SA? Why your bank also slacking? Never inform or auto block?

Why not look this issue from another perspectives. SAMY actually did a quite good job here. They notify the customers and giving out vouchers even is not entirely their fault. They are the receiving end, not the one who did auto debit.

Also this show how SA is responsible toward the cutstomer. I felt  safe to invest via SA. Better then some others who delay in recognising the problem, or worst gone into thin air.

You all can lodge report to SC because they are regulated by Sc.

And you want 1 for 1 refund? What do you mean? They debit 100 they should’ve give you back 200? LOL crazy or what

And whoever think Wahed is stable the SA really lol.

Also those who think raiz is a better platform also lol.

Invest what you know guys.

Yes, I want them to put their money where their mouth is. Don't tell me it won't happen again. If it happens again, pay out of your own pocket. That's reassurance. And why not? They have insurance system right? We should be benefactors, not just risk bearer. Push 100% risk on customers for vendor fault is surest way to lose them.

Imagine today, all your Stashaway is in the Red (like mytheo). If this "error" occured, I'm sure you would be a lot less forgiving. And yet, this could easily have happened. For me, I laud them for the money making (hooray) but this episode.....makes me think 100x about recommending them to anyone I care about. ANd I have recommended so many....

The use of tech startups for doing this auto debit, now sounds like a stupid fark up to me.

I mean, in this day and age, still need new tech to do this?

I wonder what else do they sub-out to which newbie now....

Its not that amount that missing is the problem. Its the accountability. I simply would not trust anyone that mismanage a few k, with hundreds of k or dare I say it millions. To each your own on this.

forget about interest la, Even 100k for 1 day is a RM8. In the long term its still back on how much faith u have with your total assets in it. If you play the game correctly it could amount to millions eventually, and how safe is it?

you mean normal bank to provide direct debit interface and service? Sorry even we as bank also rely on vendors.  laugh.gif

wth....please don't scare me so much, in my mind direct debit and auto direct debit has never failed in this way, ever in Malaysia.

We cannot help but equate this to the newness of this curlec vendor and Stashaway management and practice.

Now only you know what is the down side of this digital era. CIMB? remember? That’s even worst.

Who’s behind fpx. Who’s behind ghl? Who’s behind revenue?

Everything on the line can be easily compromised.

I am not supporting SA in a way that I will support whatever wrongs they did. But in this case, I don’t think it’s SA alone should have suck up all the responsibility. Curlec and bank shall bear abit too.

However wrong is wrong until proven otherwise rite?

Let’s hope for the best then. Even I am not affected by this but I still hope SA learn from this and be more alert.

CIMB was bad, but we have PIDM behind it. On a side note my friend was a 1 day millionaire due to that major screw up.

This one by stashaway makes me feel shiver if a significant chunk of our retirement fund is in there....

I and my friend got all our monies back as of 8pm. This includes the legitimate transaction that I set up (2x). Looks like i will hold back for now until they explain everything. So much for Series C funding.

annualized return is not Internal rate of return, which includes your cash flow. That is almost incalculable, because it depended on the actual price of the actual day you invested. From my own calculation even stashaway system mwr or twr does not match. Anyhow it is not an indication of future returns. If you must know my 36% portfolio is giving an equal to 18% or more of IRR. Which is very high.

Media publicity surely helps keep them on their toes. A smart business will do a good review and think about their stakeholder's interests. Only then will they survive.

Suggest forget timing with stashaway. The basket of funds in every portfolio makes it hard to get best effect anyway. Even if you manage to time with FSM, the money actually just reach the hands of fund managers in time not get invested in time also....

For timing just go direct to etf or the counter you want...IMHO. these instruments just are the wrong tools.

I’d love more discount but not expect any. What I do want is detailed explanation, and prevention steps. Also reassurance that my funds are always safe. Not too much right?

As they say, fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me.

And yes, I’m still investing as of now.

And I just realise that no portfolio is now with S&P500. Right?

Can share your thoughts why you chose to maintain the old portfolio? Hows the performance vs new?

+1

I didnt reject the reoptimisation. Wonder on the could haves. Do they at least rebalance if you maintain?
