Yeah....mine too.
They have drastically reduced US equities and increased Int equities.

decided to stop DCA, since there's no any good "sign" or news.
don't even know how much time required just to breakeven back

anyway, talking about KWEB specifically, ignoring other ETF.
bought KWEB during ATH 102-ish, all the way down to recent 44-ish, avg cost around 72-ish.
but right now KWEB at 37-ish, means literally loss about 50% alone on KWEB
and KWEB has to go up 100% just for me to breakeven.
pheww.. what an experience  rclxub.gif

i went in about the same time as you around endFeb/March for the 20% portfolio.
I managed to get out end Oct unscathed with a 3% gain before this correction. laugh.gif

Personally I think KWEB is a minefield, and buying them all = stepping on all of them at once.

For a particular stock to rise, take Tencent for example, what it needs to do is produce a great quarter (or 2), negate the ADR / Pink slip issue somehow and placate Winnie the Pooh / CCCP, provide more donation, remove Pony Ma (if he is still there), produce evidence that their games are healthy for kids / general population (they are not), and avoid wealth concentration / unfair business practice.

If you think one ticker can magically conjure 80% of the requirements above, then you need 80% of other tickers (PDD/JD/Baba etc) all to do it at once to properly rally KWEB to 50 or 60....

Suffice to say I'm a bear.

Recently, I read with some amount of sympathy about the retail investors who lost money investing in Hyflux perpetual securities. For some of them, they lost six-figure sums and hard-earned money meant for their retirement.

For one particular couple who lost over $100,000, The Straits Times reported that the reason why they decided to invest in the ill-fated perpetuals was because Temasek had invested in Hyflux itself. This prompted the national investment fund to release a statement saying that it had exited its investment in Hyflux since 2006 – more than 13 years ago.

hope it'll go up soon.. when there's down there's always up.. don't think majority of KWEB portfolios are bad performing..
rating for KWEB is 5/5. Wait all the China news sensation cool down and earnings report release for the companies, then it should go up:

https://www.etf.com/KWEB?liw=QUJfMl9VSU8=#overview

unless if buy crypto or forex then really hard to say when will up  tongue.gif

latest news:

*
When that Seeking Alpha writeup was published early Dec, KWEB was $38.85. Now it's $34.06. Down another 12%.
The RSI looks ripe for a quickie.

AS for the MACD, there is still room for further downside. Falling knife still? laugh.gif

$37.91 adjusted to $35.33 is a lot, like 6.8%
so $38.85 is now $36.21, and the psychological benchmarks below have to be adjusted like this
$40.00 -> $37.28
$50.00 -> $46.60
$60.00 -> $55.92
*
Sorry. I don't understand this. What are you adjusting it to?

Ever seen a performance projection which goes downwards with any fund? laugh.gif

BTW how is everyone's portfolio performance in the last 3 months, especially after the optimisation exercise?

Any charts to show?

Basically pulled down by KWEB while US related stocks is carrying that pull down. 😆

Hopefully the transition to be HK listed would be smooth for China related stocks should it happen 👀

It seems XLE has performed quite well since being included.
The rest i am not too sure.

Yeah...KWEB continues to be a drag, hitting new lows presently.

if too much bad ETFs like KWEB will end up pulling down an entire's portfolio's earnings, even dividends also cant help much that time.
those that cash in right before KWEB massive fall to date will have the most to lose.
what if you need to cash out suddenly? thanks to a few bad ETFs here and there you'll end up getting less cash when selling a part of the portfolio.
*
I think SA is a well balanced portfolio assuming that the manager's projection on the economics of the world pans out to be right, should give reasonable returns. It is not going to make one rich since it is balanced according to the risk profiles of the portfolios.

So there should not be too many 'bad' ETFs all at once. JMHO

I heard SG reit pay more dividends, but for me might as well just go for US stocks or ETFs in that case since so complex to buy there also.

How do you compare SREITs and US stocks and ETFs? Different kettle of fish? hmm.gif

NATO and US dont have to assist in the war as Ukraine not officially in NATO.
I'd guess they will impose Russia many sanctions to make them stop the attacks and withdraw.

War is bad for everybody.. if Russia start attacking EU countries like France, Germany then I would be scare.. right now they just invading a country that was once part of Russia.
*
If Russia steps over to EU, it will lead to WW3.
Ukraine was not part of Russia. It was part of USSR. So was Georgia, etc.

What is the role of ERAA supposed to act at this juncture of time?
Naked eye can see: war, interest rising, inflation rising, gold rush, black gold uprising.......

Begs the question.
The answer will be it is short term volatility. SA looks at long term outlook and gains will smoothen the losses OVER LONG TIME.
