Tried this morning but did not get any CB. Scanned the Malaysia QR code. Is it must scan on the MAE specific QR code only?

Should be twice only for entire campaign. The one where they scan you, not sure which campaign it's under..

Thanks. Maybank really doesn't write good T&Cs... It works at any outlet that has Maybank QR or which can scan your Maybank QR on MAE... but that site did tell me that Maybank now has 350k merchants that signed up with Maybank as a merchant.. 😁

Participating outlets should mean any and all of those merchants, as they have no opt in or opt out choices, nor should they care as it's not their money being given out... And it would be costly for Maybank to try to differentiate participating vs. non participating outlets that way..

Example of badly written T&C - clause 2(b) which says only valid at food and beverage outlets...

Mobile banking apps like MAE are a terrible idea. When I am eating at a roadside stall, I don't need to be holding my banking app (and my entire life savings).

If you are robbed, the robber will no longer ask for your wallet. All he wants is your phone and banking password. And if you are rich, he'll hold you captive for as many days as required to drain all your savings.

The next time you step outside, think about what you have installed on your phone. We are taught never to carry excess cash when going out. But nowadays we carry the entire banking system everywhere we go.

Banking is NOT a lifestyle app. Banking should be done only in the security of your home. Use an old phone if you need to install banking apps. That old phone stays at home.

I dont disagree with the points you have mentioned.

So... you are ok with paying with credit cards, other ewallet, just not MAE or equivalent?

What he means banking apps not EWallet or cards

But he doesn’t understand even banking apps there are safeguards especially when transaction limits and restrictions especially when high transactions involved

Even if someone robs a person with a debit card there limit for withdrawals πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ
