Just activate the MAE in Maybank apps but i find the feature is so so only.
No credit card top up and the list of Merchant is less attractive (90% are food & beverage stores)

Have anyone tested MAE for payment?
Is there any reward like Boost (shake reward) or GrabPay (points)?

Yesterday i used qrpay
Under pay i set amex. When i scan merchant qr code, dunno why deduct my savings.

MAE is actually not entirely an e wallet, it's like Bigpay with their prepaid card concept, except the fact that MAE uses virtual card instead of a physical card. It just links to Maybank QR Pay, that's why they advertised it sort of like an e wallet, but the fact that it's really not. Just my opinion...

But I wouldn't start using MAE until they solve these issues, and this is coming from an existing Maybank cardholder...

1. MAE and my personal Maybank account is sorta tied together instead of separated, this just makes more confusion and with lesser peace of mind on using it

2. Virtual card isn't available for existing Maybank cardholders, so can't use Maybank Pay or Samsung Pay, I don't really feel safe in using my own account (usually for savings) to make payments every time

3. MAE should be separated to another section in the app instead, I don't wanna show my personal account balance when I wanna access to MAE

4. I can only top up MAE using my personal Maybank account

they said have referral reward but can't find what the reward is.

The referral reward is the game entry, you can only earn entries by successfully referring the code to someone.

Agree. I don't like the way they link my M2U login account with the MAE, i feel it is not safe. I prefer they make it as standalone apps like Boost/BigPay for the user easier to manage.

No, they're not the same thing.

QRPAY is linked to your CASA while MAE is another account that's totally separate from CASA & it's available even for those with no Maybank account.

QRPay can be linked to MAE account too.

That's interesting & also redundant at the same time.

Yup, i feel that MAE is redundant for a Maybank2U user but maybe useful for those without Maybank to use QRPay and enjoy the ongoing promotions as well

I believe this would be a half-baked project yet to be abandoned soon.

I only get RM4.75 and that's it.

for boost , u only can get up to max RM5 when you invite ppl to join. normally got RM1 only. Also many T&C apply to get them,

Yes boost give more reward if u spend, that is different rebate when u spend.

I am talking about invitation bonus.

TBH, I not yet tried. I will try tomorrow at KFC setia alam

Remarks: not much people use or machine not working, means lesser entries , means higher winning chances
