hi all sifus.....just wondering what are the cost reduction done to reduce the price so much to RM27k from previously about RM37k......if not mistaken
my dad just bought one LMST and here are the differences that I can spot....hope you guys could give more comments so that I know more on what has been reduced on the LMST compared to the iswara..... 1. no clock 2. front passenger side....no drawer....only got the place to put things.... 3. the air cond vent.....bigger blades means less assembly and process 4. carpets are those very thin coil rubber type.... 5. the place for you to rest your hand on the side of the door....is much much shorter now... 6. the car seems lighter... 7. the door is missing the rubber lining on the outside.... 8. no more spoiler on the back 9. the meters seems to be compact together......and the blue light is very dim.....must be really dark then can only see clearly.....I think I prefer the yello/amber light more.... 10. signal lights and brake lights are much smaller than the iswara... 11. the cushion seems to lack some cushioning material.....the iswara feels much firmer and more sponge..... 12. the LMST engine compartment are much more clean and organize....is this the reason why i see a lot of space there? or some things are reduced in size or taken out? anymore that you think I am missing..... do let me know if I made any mistake... also, this is not meant to give bad comments on the new LMST.....by all means....the price is very cheap......and I might be thinking of getting my hands on one too but I would like to see what other changes they made to reduce the price so much..... QUOTE(blackpc @ Jun 21 2007, 09:59 AM) stock alloy rims for LMSS & LMST is 14" with 185/60/14 rubbers. yeah bro...i remember the sentra rim..quite light but not my type of rims..i wonder still got aa that rim..can poison singchai tu buy them..hahahahahau can choose from few generations of 15" waja rims and there were once waja came out with 16". Perdana also have some 15 and 16 inches plug and play for saga/iswara. U can also go for Neo's 16". Although plug and play, you still need to add spacers for the rear at least. just remember to wrap your 15" with nothing more or less than 195/50/15 rubbers whereas for the 16", 205/45/16 would be great. Combination of tyre profiles and rim size will effect the overall diameter and also your speedometer reading. Unless you have done major power improvement, these sizes should be sufficient. Protons' rims wont be that light. Last time when I went to the tyre shop with batista_beast, we were recommended rims from Nissan Sentra... it's damn light for stock alloys. QUOTE(StupidGuyPlayComp @ Jun 21 2007, 03:04 PM) Your mentioned iswara is a old model, few year before it was replace by LMSS model first full spec with all acessories but i not sure whether LMSS got power steering or not. That car cost around RM 40k if i m not mistaken FC is very bad. Loud exhaust with old dashboard. Then only they change to LMST starting with the red color model. Then they starting to make it sportier with the removal of drawer, clock etc etc but they add in rear spoiler with sportier antenna. If i not wrong, since 2004 iswara model was replace with LMST saga, and the price remain as around RM35k-RM38k untill this offer period, RM27k So the product actually same althought before offer period. but 27k LMST does not come with sport rim Added on June 21, 2007, 4:22 pm QUOTE(blackpc @ Jun 21 2007, 04:16 PM) any pictures? This post has been edited by kevinlim001: Jun 21 2007, 04:22 PM |

I compare interior and exterior and I found out nothing different lor.. Maybe those thing cannot see got different la.. And, LMST car cushion is much more comfortable that old iswara.. And about the meter, mine blue light is bright enough ler.. How come your 1 dims?? Find catacomb teach you diy putting Hi flux led.. Hehe.. My previous car is Iswara 1.3 aeroback and now i driving LMST RM27k. Feel much more better that previous iswara.. The different is the car seem abit lighter and door panel abit fragile.. QUOTE(batista_beast @ Jun 21 2007, 04:34 PM) the rims look like this..correct me if i'm wrong blackpc...aku pun lupa macam mana rupa rim tu... wrong. that sentra is not even in malaysia yet. refer to the url i've given earlier.but i think i look like this one..seriously,it's very light..compare to the perdana 15" rim i'm using now... QUOTE(singchaii @ Jun 21 2007, 04:44 PM) Can fit.. Sure look nice la.. I got a seller wanna sell this rims.. But alot of member tekan his price and give negative comment to him make him tulan already.. So he don't want to sell it anymore.. actually it's quite normal to have people trying to bargain this kind of rims. Your friend should have just traded off the rims when he changed his rims earlier. Buyers nowadays are very smart since they already know how much shop will sell those kind of rims. Even if they're selling it a bit more expensive, you'll get installation+balancing+spacers+new rubbers altogether. You will also get some assurance that if anything happens to the rims within few days time you'll still have means to complaint.I also wanna find out from where they cut the cost but too bad.. Nothing I found.. Haha.. Erm.. Blackpc, any lubang to get the waja rims or the sentra rims you mention boh? I can bring u to a shop in bangi, where they sometimes have nice newly skimmed and painted used rims from different car makers. batista_beast knows the place as well. They might not have a lot to choose from, but the price and after sales service are worth it. |
