What kind of criminal activities are you talking about? if just a jaga kedai boy, then you will have to sit in lokap for awhile whenever you get raided, until someone come get you. and you get commission from the sales, so u better go buy food and drinks for the high rollers and reserve nice chair for them. robbbery at those kedai is very rare, no one in their right mind will rob a Triad business. the ones that rob are those kaki ice.

Maybe there was once or twice i noticed that someone cooked the books. Maybe i went with an enforcer to confront the culprit, maybe i witness many times first hand, that it is NOT a good idea to steal money from the Triad.

I always maintained a job when i was doing illegal stuff. Jobs that are flexible, property agent, insurance agent, salesman, etc etc changing companies when i get bored or get fired for always not showing up . Everywhere i go, i wear office wear, a long-sleeve shirt. I cut my hair short and neat, no dye. No tattoos. I drove around in a silver proton saga BLM (most common color and car model in malaysia).

On the other hand, we have the gangbangers. When one needs to get something done that required violence and getting hands dirty (stuff that Triad avoid as best as possible.), one would roll with those gangbangers, dyed hair, usually black tshirt and jeans and slippar, tattoos all over, scowl on their face, crazy wide shifty eyes because they are high on fucking ice all day. i hated working with those dudes, crazy unpredictable. A couple of my near death incidents was because of gangbangers and their nonsense. Don't do ice, kids.

I still drink occasionally. Light beer if it's available. Corona, tiger crystal, etc etc. And 1 or 2 small bottles only.

Actually alcoholic drinks is Haram. But the whole point of the law is to discourage Muslims from getting drunk.

So my personal interpretation is that if I drink alcohol occasionally, but limit it to light beer so that I don't drink until I am drunk, then what I am doing is Haram , but not at the level of drinking alcohol till drunk Haram.

And I am a real asshole and troublemaker when I am drunk, so it's better if I don't consume alcohol until drunk.

Let me tell you why I don't believe your God. Actually, there is no good & evil on earth but because you believe in God. We seperate things become good vs evil. Why should we need to seperate those? Cannot choose only good & no evil? Same as why should we die one day, can we cannot die & live forever? If there is seperation, no point to believe. Just be as good as it is. Never lose anything. You ancestor even before the religion coming already live thousand or maybe million of years without religion. Is there a regret & lose something? None. There is no need guidance. You change not because of your religion or guidance but the change is yourself. You change yourself not other people.
