u should keep the fone off when updating mate as said by the instruction

yeah i off the phone already haha...but it cant be detected...any other ways to update the firmware? perhaps go to se-centre tu update?

rly cant be detected?bcoz if rly follow all the steps should be no problem in detecting.maybe try unplug yr usb from comp,plug it in thn try again.it works for me bcoz last time i have this problem too.u nid to plug in the usb to comp b4 u plug it to fone.

hmm dunno la...can sum1 give me the usb driver for the w910

its supplied with the pc suite disc.if u install pc suite already,start it thn select "how to connect",thn plug yr usb into another port (since yr current port nt working d),the program will install the drivers.

Dunno ler...after installing this firmware my battery lasted almost 3 days with most of time used quite alot during 9-5.

Not bad ler...so far didnt hang, before this during the 1st few days of usage hang/restart quite often

But now its ok

I've got a little question.

The first time i set a picture to a contact, and when i received an sms from that contact, the picture came out real tiny.
Just a little rectangle thingy in the middle of the new message pop-up. (cannot be the resolution, coz i took the picture with the phone camera)
Which was weird, coz i remembered with my previous phone, the Z610i, the picture was relatively bigger when i received an sms.

This went on for some time, then one day i don't know what i did, i think by accident, suddenly when i received an sms from the same contact,
the same picture was displayed much bigger(almost the size of the new message pop-up). And so i was happy until recently when i changed the picture
for the same contact... And it was small again. How comee? Is there any way to set it?

I have one question that bugs me for days...
i have my ringtones at high volume(6)..however my Message allert volume is so soft that i barely notice there's a incoming msg.

Issit possible i adjust the volume? cause i can't find any other method from the manual or other forums...
i've try using the volume button from the side..not working..i even tried pressing the navigate button "UP"..not working too

hey... anyone out there have shake application for the w910 ???

no idea for yr prob since i don't use pic for contacts



try setting to 8.the side button are for adjusting the volume when there's music running or the walkman player running.on normal,pressing them will bring out the phone info.its normal for AP phone tht u didn't get the latest fw,bcoz most ap sets are from other country,and maybe those country haven't receive the latest fw yet.

shake application maybe for sms or anything... i saw got shake sms for a nokia phone. you just have to shake the phone to view the message....

8 seems fine to me thou.but in crowded place with my fone in pocket sometimes i cant listen the ringtone as well

can't seem to find such app for the W910.

but u might wan to chk out these

they use the phone accelerometer and some of them are quite cool to be used as wallpapers or simply showing off

unfortunately.W910 which is a DB3150 phone doesn't support flashing yet.unless u buy SEtoolbox or use davinci which cost 10 euros
