want to complain this no kind retail shop which is 4th floor in Penang shopping complex Bukit Jambul.

This is the last tiem i will go there,seeing me never buy things from them,their service is sucks

i went inside to find thermalpaste,the boss (Ric*y the name) know my just ask for fun,get a AS5 for me and say,this thermalpaste is the best one,sell u rm48.(WTF,think i'm noob?)

then i say no want,nothing so special,then he get a Mahhantan Thermalpaste for me,say,this is the owrst one,sell u RM18....(WTFWTFWTFWTF, this thermalpaste only rm4 in Pristine,think i stupid?)

I laugh and walk out the shop.

newbie pls be careful,this shop really killing ppl,especially those dont know much about pc.

ppl selling rm25,they selling rm48,what do u think of this kind of shop?

think we r al noob and stupid,dont ever deal with him again.

Shops at BJ really lousy.
If you really need to get something fro BJ, make sure you go to those more reputable ones.

thing is.. people like me don't where to look for some stuff.

The only place I know apart from PC Depot in Penang.. is Prangin Mall and that lousy BJ.

Would be happy to have some recommenation.. especially place to get a higher end stuff... for example.. 8800GTS / HD2900XT?? I never see such high end stuff before in any place in Penang

try gadgetzone?

well,what i can say is,penang pc shop all supply mostly on low end stuff,even gadget zone,most the time when i ask them the things,they cant answrr me or say "this one i'm not very clear lo..."

Which means.. bulk/garage sales in LowYat is still the best way to get high-end gc and so on for penangites...

Oh well...

LoL.. I never dare to buy stuff from BJ yet.. only dare to buy from Prangin Mall as of now... unless there is some shop in BJ you guys would recommend...

And even so.. the only place I dare to go in Prangin is Vertex Distributor. Got my Enermax from them...

Maybe you can try Makson at Bukit Jambul, very good service and with reasonable prices.

Haha... Actually, I used to work in 4 computer shops before. AArado, Keypoint, Mega Online and PCC.

PCC was good but the boss' attitude towards his suppliers caused the shop's downfall.
Keypoint is a cut throat company which tries to cheats every customer they can find.
AArado is just another small time shop owned by a retired uncle trying to survive by selling stuff with high price.
Mega Online doesn't really focus on Computers but accessories. Lots of complaints against them before but that actually depends on your luck on which employee is serving you.

Ricky is just the adopted son of the real boss.

Trust me, That's the last shop you'll want to go in Penang. I used to work in Keypoint which is also one of the worst shop in Penang, and Keypoint is Makson's distributor. So sometimes, the person from Makson will come to Keypoint's HQ to test some hardware and if you listen to what they usually talk about, you'll surely want to stay away from Makson. (Hint: Cheat people via hardware)

Good Shops in Penang:
Gadget Zone (Jack [Lowyat nickname:Silance] does not work there anymore though, but there's still lots of good employees there)
Active Xtreme (Some complaints but still good overall)
Swisspac (Expensive though but great service and lots of products)
PCDepot (Okay service, lots of stuff and has a proper procedure for everything)
ZEON (But they only sell MP3 players mostly)


Bad shops in Penang:
Keypoint (I worked there, I know how they lie and cheat. Even some of the experts can be cheated easily. Lots of lawsuits has been filed againts this company yet their lawyers [Karpal Singh, you know? the DAP politician/lawyer] manages to find loopholes in the law)
Makson (Bad quality products, don't take responsibility when their products malfunctions.)
ICS (Though they do supply some office computers, They often try to cheat the customers. They give you best quotations and good hardware specs so the experts will give good comments. Then they will conveniently "forget" to install an additional piece of RAM or "accidentally" install a lower end graphics card or processor for you)

Personally, I still go to some of the shops for some instant hardware. then, upgrades are best from Lowyat.net

pristine,last time good,now no more.

Seriously, if you're from Sg Dua USM area, you would know that Makson should be avoided.

By the way n305er, i never seen you mention Pristine Wireless.
IMHO, pristine service is way better than GZ and others. This is from feedbacks i get from my other friends as well.
So if anyone needs to get stuff from BJ, either drop by Pristine or GZ(I personally dislike BJ GZ)

SHops in One Stop which are ok, Pristine, GZ and Activextreme.
Btw, for high end stuff, find a fellow forumer Karom. He's from butterworth, so you might be able to COD with him. Saves you the hassel to find high end stuffs in shops.
