The live streaming delay of Unifi TV 2.0 app, is now around 20-25 seconds (1080p @ 4Mbps) This is significantly better than the old 1.0 version (which has a delay of almost 1 minute).
For comparison the delay of Terrestrial network (MYTV) is exactly 7 seconds, Mana-Mana (1080p stream @ 3.5Mbps) 20-25 seconds, Sooka by Astro 20-25 seconds (480p), RTM Klik (current delay) 20-25 seconds for 2.5Mbps stream (was 45 seconds at last year - RTM TV1 has a "larger delay" of almost 1 minute - they started to use higher bitrate of more than 5Mbps). TV channel used on test : TV1 and TV2. All things considered Unifi TV 2.0 now has the "best overall performance in both quality and delay" for streaming. The streaming performance is now quite similar across all platforms. |

The EPG now takes longer to load (especially mobile) when compared to old version - it is way harder to switch channelsWhen switching audio/subtitles/video quality on phone - the live stream skips. I have tested on web browser on PC too, and it is way more difficult to navigate. The only good thing is slight increase of video bitrate and lower delay in streaming. QUOTE(jusbella @ Aug 18 2025, 12:55 AM) Sooka = Astro Go. Astro would have use the same stream for both (delay should have been reduced significantly these days). |
