If Unifi TV gives me a free trial of the Vidio app, I want to watch one of its originals - Scandal. 🤭

I think they'll launch a localized version of the app instead of the original Vidio app, which means it will only include originals.

Vidio app is from Surya Citra Media, the one that operates Pesona HD Ch 141, also distributed its content to Malaysia via Astro.

On the website the ruby+ pack now comes with free tvb anywhere. No more mangotv. Old ruby pack customers can switch to tvb anywhere also. Not bad if like tvb things esp for older ppl.

Hmm...how is that logical for them to bundle an almost RM 40 app with a RM 30 pack, but they couldn't afford TVB Jade and TVB Xing He??? 😒

Last time , I heard they in discussion to bring the channels as well. No ideas when but maybe near haha?

The one offered with Ruby+ is only VOD Zone so RM19.90

RM39.90 is VOD + Channel Zone

Yet, still a generous move by unifi tv

Unifi TV is charging RM 15.90 for the Full Access version (VOD + Channels). In Singapore, Starhub TV is offering TVB Jade in a special pack along with TVB Anywhere+ VOD Zone. I hope Unifi TV can do the same. If not, they should at least try to launch TVB Xing He, TVB Classic and/or Asian Action Channel. 😁

Maybe just is cny promo sell chicken.

It seems they also give one month full access for free so can watch live cny show on jade cenel.

I see that TVB also wanna get more viewers in Msia as I see they keep producing shows shot in Msia and even award night also specifically set aside few awards voted by Msian audience

For the app I am really surprised they bundle TVB instead suddenly (thanks for your highlight or else won't realise so fast) because by market price it is the most expensive compared to Mango TV and iQIYI and well honestly I prefer TVB over the others for the contents.. no idea why I still do not like shows produced by Mainland or Korea over HK and well someone will say 2024 still got ppl watch TVB lol yet the data won't lie

But VOD also better la lucky not given Channel so I can decide when to watch the drama rather than rushing for the airing time.. just that need to wait until end of month as switching will only come active after existing 1 month subs expired.. meanwhile just wait patiently lol

Also old ruby customer can switch to tvb app if they want but switch will take some time not immediate i think. For me i am ultimate max so i just add on rm9.90. Is good deal for me.

TVB will never forget Msia as it is like a gold mine to them.If I not mistaken , astr* giving up for exclusive rights already since they keep having loss in their business and not enough budget to maintain rights.hence tvbanywhere launchs and this might probably gives way for unifi to enter the discussion to bring the channel as well.

Although the quality of tvb drama is getting shitter but nonetheless there is a demand for tvb in Msia.

Actually there was a Singapore section award on long time ago, but there was less demand and sg ppl prefer watching mediacorp drama hence the rights and collaboration were less and no more.

TV actors gone to china, Malaysia. Movie actors gone to china, Hollywood.

The best Asian movies, TV series now come from china, South Korea, Japan.

With Netflix n iqiyi, u get most of them.

I agree hk movie almost dead and yeah a lot good shows comes from ur mentioned. But still Chinese in Msia still favor to tvb series since they already accustomed to it especially oldies.

But of course , there are many options out there.

I feel like TVB linear channels still have their market because TVB is one of the Chinese channel providers that delivers its linear channels internationally. Most Chinese dramas are considered as OTT exclusives, which means either you watch them all via OTT or you hope that your TV providers can license your fav ones and broadcast them on their in-house channels. For TVB drama, it's different because every TVB produced drama will premiere simultaneously as its HK counterpart, which secures its value somehow. 😁

If I'm not wrong, A***o only recently gave up their exclusive rights, not since the launch of TVB Anywhere+ on Unifi TV. That's why Unifi TV gets the deal to offer the app at incredibly low price. RM 15.90 for full access is 60% off the original market price (RM 39.90). 😂

Maybe unifi will also take epl soon

Guys, just to clarify. TVB Anywhere+ Premium is the one that is basically a streaming app similar to Netflix right? Whereas VOD is the ability to record the channels and watch it in your own time, and of course Channel is just watching whatever is on at the time.

Premium will last till 29 Feb, which after that should default back to VOD.
