On the other hand.....I subs to Sooka for TV.......I'm amazed with the quality of Sooka....much better than Unifi TV....Unifi need to consider to upgrade their OTT since now they charged premium especially the Ultimate packs!

how do u tell if any video on HBOGo is 1080p?

HBOGo titles are labeled with "HD" only. i m quite sure they r at best 720p, maybe 720i or lower.

becos compared to others, they are ALL poor.

Netflix titles display info: HD = 1080p SDR; HD HDR = 1080p HDR; 4k HDR = 2160p HDR.

Disney titles... some shows display 4K HDR 5.1 Atmos - self explaining.

Iqiyi - u can click on icon to see they r all 1080p.

Nowadays HD means FullHD....i don't know...but crisp on my end....not as crisp as Netflix...Its FHD but lower bitrate...

On google chromecast seem like 1080p.

I'm also using 43inch FHD TV......slight quality downgrade might not be an issue for me vs 60++ inch 4k TV...

got no bajet to improve currents channels quality? even their in-house channel PQ looks worse than Youtube.

You have to understand unifi is only strong from network and telecommunications backbone. Although they have hypptv for so long till now become unifi tv but they still have no clue for right direction previously and lack of experts to handle the tv infras but they have resource. Right now unifi tv has better lead and is sourcing for right vendor to handle their tv infras.

That’s why astro are still monopolised the cable tv market and right now they started need to shift the business to compete unifi when they starting to lose.

Give some time la bro haha. I also feel you when paid but get lousy service. Fed up on the unifi tv app donut spinning.

They've been in the TV industry for 13 years already.....its not like we demand 4k....we just wants HD TV quality experience....cleaner image, smoother 50fps motion...

Please give up on TM to invest further on UnifiTV quality.
Coz it is not a viable investment from TM to compete with Astro.
So, they only provide stable quality for IPTV and invest more on OTT app.
Even their technician said they no longer maintain IPTV VLAN600 and encourage use internet VLAN500, what can I say

Right now TM is pumping on unifi tv since they are scouring for vendor to help manage the infras and providing experts to do the job. Just that just a bit late for now they prioritise this. And yes TM is shifting unifi tv business to OTT hence they starting abandon vlan600 which also Ast** also doing the same thing.

Probably now we enter Gigabit territory Internet both Fibre and 5G, so stability not an issue anymore so ditching VLAN ...I think in 2010 when the fastest pack was 20Mbps, ISP needs VLAN isolate the IPTV for smoother playback.

my upb v1 can't function properly, buffer and lag. call unifi, they send technician. technician told me, my upb v1 maybe problem so they give me hybrid box without refresh contract. my upb v1 still under warranty. technician tell me just keep in this box.
i try reset my upb v1, can run normally. so right now i have 2 box upb.🥰

I just received offer by call for upgrade plan to 500mbps + all unifi tv channel + disney+ etc. Free new modem for 500mbps, android tv box n no bill charge for 1st 6 months.
All of these for rm179 per month, 2 years contract.

Currently I'm on 500mbps no unifi tv for 159.
I don't care about contract since unifi works best on my area n have a plan to terminate my astro, but does the price worth to upgrade? Or should i demand lower price?

the decision will depends on whether u watch TV or not.

+RM20 for all that is cheap if u watch them, waste of money if u dun watch.

if it is ultimate pack, it is sold at rm60.
