Nice. The bad news for any content provider in Malaysia is that they need to reclassify all of their titles. May take some time. Hope they don't get the penalty though if not able to switch over in time. 😶

I notice that, but some of them are not caused by the new classification board issue. Channels like Nickelodeon have a new set of schedule being released by the provider, and that's why Unifi TV needs to wait for that. Almost every month, Nickelodeon has this issue - only manage to get the EPG detail two days before the new month.

I remember you said 3 new linear channels and 1 OTT app, right? Their new flyer for the February channels line-up doesn't even mention any new app. Hmm... 🤔

Has anyone received the update? Tried searching for the update this morning. Nothing found. Might try again later.

Aniplus On Demand is available to viewers who subscribe to K-Plus, which means all Plus Packs and Ultimate Pack subscribers will have access to it.

They do this just to make their VOD library look huge. If categorised by channels, there'll be very few for some channels and a lot for the in-house channels. That's why I strongly believe that Unifi TV should focus in terms of linear channels instead of VOD titles/channels. Most of their channel-related VOD are being shown in lower resolution and frame rate compared to the ones shown on linear channels. They should solely rely on OTT apps when it comes to on demand/VOD (except for their pay-per-view titles). Not sure if you notice that they rarely license drama titles as VOD from K-Plus because they don't want to fork out more money to pay for both linear and VOD rights of the same content.

1. Go to "Profile"
2. Select "View My Profile" right below your ID.
3. Click on "Classification".
4. Change it to your desired age rating. I change mine to 18, so no titles will be locked.

4.8 Mbps for HD channels. Same like the UPB or Unifi PlayTV if I'm not wrong. Because only the older white/grey box and the second gen UPB can have the highest bit-rate 8/8.8 Mbps while others are capped at 4.8 Mbps (max).

The first 5 episodes of Attack on Titan (Aniplus On Demand title) are available now under International Variety section.

Still got the 01999 error while using the timeshift feature on Boomerang. Might clear cache and try again later. Also, the bug fix they focus on this time is purely accessing or browsing linear channels, which means there's still a chance of getting an error using the timeshift feature or watching VOD.

Don't rely on the mosaic channel on the white box. It doesn't show channel list properly if the number of current channels exceeds 64 (16x4). I don't think they will eventually fix it since their focus is now mainly on the UPB (1st and 2nd gen).

Speaking of UPB, the cloud recording feature is heading to the platform soon according to Iptvfan. I requested the feature a few years ago along with an entire portfolio filled with stuff they can improve on, including making their app "self-recording prevention" to stop subscribers/viewers from recording the content without permission (because this issue will scare away content/channel providers, which makes Unifi TV end up with no content at all). So far, they're on track.

Also, I believe HBO channels, Cartoon Network and Discovery channels are heading to Unifi TV sooner than what Iptvfan expects. No official launch date yet. They have purposely left ads from Animal Planet, Cartoon Network, HBO, Discovery, Food Network (etc.) attached while slotting in Unifi TV own ads on Boomerang and Travel Channel, which means the staffs in the censorship department knowingly hint/imply the exciting news.

If so, isn't it will clash with the launch of the next batch of new channels (HBO, Discovery, etc)? But I don't mind it. But it's still very sus to include a YouTube link in a PDF file or something. I haven't seen Unifi does that before, except for their own website.

I watch tons of the titles, like John Wick movies, Swimming with Sharks, Minx, P-Valley, Bad Moms and more.

3. Press "Parental Control" (You may need to enter the PIN)
4. Unlock all the age setting in order to view all titles in the app.

Free to activate before the deadline until you cancel your Unifi TV subscription. That's why people get different price for the same thing if you get it at different time. 😂

I'm eyeing on HBO + Discovery app & linear channels, along with Paramount+ instead of Netflix. Personal taste I guess. 😁

Also, it seems like Unifi TV has plan to upgrade/upscale SETI (CH 239) to HD version instead of launching a separate channel to carry the latest/recent titles on the channel.

PS: Rewind Networks plan to roll out their latest channel - HITS NOW in Malaysia within the next few months. Negotiation with the TV providers has already begun.

PPS: It will be extremely generous if TVB Jade HD can be launched and bundled as part of Ruby Plus Pack considering the ala-carte price of the channel is close to Lionsgate Play. 😅

To be determined. No price hike for Plus Packs for now. But Ultimate Pack may have different price tiers. As you can see, the website lists Ultimate Pack as "from only RM 60" instead of only RM 60. Their plan for future offering isn't fixed at all. They're still observing what their subscribers want. 😁

Yup. Just plug in the lan cable and press the Unifi icon on the homepage, and the app will start using the IPTV mode. If I'm not mistaken.

Not sure if any of you has seen the post on Astro's Facebook community page. A user has posted a reply from beIN SPORTS Asia, which claims that F1 will be made exclusively available on Unifi TV and TM, not Astro. Just like what I have expected, which beIN Sports is offering the following option for the broadcasters to choose from:
1. Mainly soccer content - beIN SPORTS 1 (excluding all concurrent tennis matches on the channel) and beIN SPORTS 3
2. Soccer + ATP Pack - beIN SPORTS 1 (with all the concurrent tennis matches on the channel, excluding all F1, F2, F3 matches), beIN SPORTS 2 and beIN SPORTS 3
3. Full access (soccer + ATP Pack + F1 Pack) - all the beIN SPORTS channels but with F1, F2 and F3 being focused over soccer matches (if there're any)

* The term "ATP Pack" is used by Singapore's Starhub TV to describe their version of beIN SPORTS channels they are offering as part of their Sports+ pack.

I believe Unifi TV intentionally drops Liga Malaysia rights just to get the F1 rights since they are not earning money from it anyways (aka no ads, sponsors and high prices = no/minimal revenue).

If Unifi TV lets you choose between Liga Malaysia and F1, which one will you choose?

Speaking of new content, Unifi TV will add Durioo+ (a platform made safely mainly targetting Muslim children as audience by providing moralistic and Islamic teaching titles, including self-produced programs and acquired shows like Baby Shark and Upin Ipin) this month.

All Unifi TV Packs customers can redeem free trials of Durioo+ starting 18 March 2022.
