Mine goes up to RM 11.90 too. It seems like they're forcing current subscribers to renew their contract in order to get the offered price.

I just noticed that CCTV-4 has been reverted to HD for most of the day, but the afternoon drama has been replaced with previously aired CCTV-4 (SD version) drama. Probably due to censorship or saving cost in licensing drama. The evening drama and all other shows throughout the day are in HD. I wouldn't mind that as long as they are going to air the CNY countdown special and daytime programs in HD.

By the way, IPTVfan, what are the two new channels coming to Unifi TV? Are they really One HD and Cartoon Network HD? Also, I recently suggested the Unifi TV team to launch a new English GE linear channel to fill the content gap left by FOX channels. I hope they will launch it soon.

3 new channels coming to Unifi TV this 1st February:

I notice beIN Sports 1 HD has started showing Australian Open live since two days ago. Previously, Unifi TV version of beIN Sports channels didn't cover any of the tennis matches. It's a good news because the access to beIN Sports CONNECT will be full access soon.

Well, I can't tell whether Moonbug Kids is the no. 1 channel on Astro, but it's has the most popular pre-schooled titles; and that's a fact.

I'm interested to see what the team is going to fill in on Unifi Sports 1 to 4 or just cease them completely. Also, I hope they can handle the outrage of the fans well.

Now, I'm waiting for them to bring in the full suite of HBO + Discovery linear channels (including Cartoon Network, CNN and Eurosport).

Also, they mess up SETI (CH 239) by zooming in at certain part of the channel.

Wait a sec. If they launch History and CI, why don't they bring in Lifetime too? Also, I hope the Chinese GE channel is an in-house channel covering drama series and variety shows from Taiwan (drama & variety), Hong Kong (mainly drama) and China (drama only). I sent them a lot of ideas in recent years. Can't wait to see how it turns out. If they want to launch a non-in-house channel, they should consider GE channels like TVBS Asia or TVB Jade (International TVB Anywhere+ version).

Global Trekker isn't a "quality" documentary channel. It's more like a GE based documentary channel, which is quite boring and weird to me. I prefer Smithsonian Channel (aka a sister channel of Global Trekker). Its titles are way better and international quality. Sadly, major TV providers in Asia believe that their customers want "entertaining" type of documentary, not informative ones.

You probably haven't heard. ONE HD is coming to Unifi TV this February 1st.

It's so nice if they're able to bring in TVB Jade HD. Well, they must have in-house Malay channels because no one outside Malaysia has "self-produced content Malay channels" that Unifi TV can license. However, they should think of a way to get the HD feed of SET International or just replace with its Malaysia feed of SET Metro and SET Taiwan (with newer drama and latest variety shows - a lot of them are not licensed by Astro). So, it's not a bad idea at all.

Also, I realize the Unifi TV activation OTT apps website doesn't allow me to get both TVB Anywhere+ VOD and Live TV packs, which means I need to switch over to the RM 32 (two-in-one pack). If Unifi TV is going to launch TVB Jade HD, then I'll keep my current TVB Anywhere+ VOD zone subscription instead of add-on or switch to the premium RM 32 one.

Nope. Analizing linear channels and their content are my hobbies. The only advice I can give to Unifi TV or any content provider will be that their staffs who work on acquiring content should have extremely high enthusiasm in terms of the type of content they're focusing at (like English, vernacular, sports, kids and documentary/lifestyle). If not, they will bring in rubbish that no one (even themselves) will watch. 😂

PS: Since Unifi TV will carry full suite HBO and Discovery channels (including History and CI, which the titles from these two channels will also be integrated as part of the HBO + Discovery app), I strongly believe Unifi TV will include the app as part of the TV package that includes the new channels.

PPS: Disney doesn't offer Nat Geo linear channels as part of their Disney+ Hotstar deal with Astro, which means Astro needs to pay for Nat Geo channels as ala-carte bundle offered by Disney. Astro is probably trying to save money by following Unifi TV's approach.

My argument can be supported by how Singapore's Starhub TV is offering Disney+ Star without giving the necessary free access to the Nat Geo linear channels.

It seems like Miao Mi On Demand is coming to Unifi TV this 21 January. If you look at the CNY programs highlights on Unifi Facebook page, you can see it label as "MIAO MI Catch Up HD", which is quite confusing. For your info, Miao Mi is a kids channel owned by Celestial Tiger Entertainment. It primarily delivers the purpose of teaching viewers (mostly kids) to speak Mandarin. However, it's a real challenge whether this channel can be served as an alternative to XTY.

Well, the linear channel of Miao Mi doesn't have HD feed as far as I know, but they want to license its titles in HD via on demand. But Unifi TV is good at getting the exclusive HD feed. 😆 The concept of having Miao Mi as on-demand channel may not be so kids-friendly though.😬😅

Speaking of channel update, you're correct about Unifi TV not licensing MFL 2023 for Unifi Sports channels; therefore, Unifi Sports 2 - 4 (CH 702 - 704) will be ceased on 1st February 2023. Good news is the launch of the 3 new channels on the same day along with beIN Sports 1 HD becoming a full channel (with tennis matches). 😁

Nice. I understand why both channels are launched as VOD instead of linear channels.
Miao Mi: Doesn't have HD linear feed
Aniplus: Censorship - too much mature titles & unusual premiere time usually late night. Also, both linear and VOD version of Aniplus need to be licensed separately. That's why major TV providers across Asia only carry either linear or VOD of Aniplus. Also, I think Aniplus also doesn't allow the "7 days catch-up feature".

Any info on Aniplus VOD's launch date? 😁

It's a trend where a lot of Malaysia YouTubers record the final moments of their favourite channels and upload them to YouTube. They are very popular. I love watching some of the clips they posted. 😂

They have already announced it back in October regarding the deal. Just need to make sure that Unifi TV has the sufficient number of beIN Sports channels for the complete coverage of all sports events offered by beIN Sports.
