Need to use the app package ID (com.**) to refer to the apk because app ID will not change but version number and name can change and as you can see, three of them have 1.x version numbers and might one day have almost the same version number. Also need to use model number to refer to STBs because there are 3 silver STBs and only one of them runs Android.

The very old silver STB (EC2108E) that "runs on an embedded real-time operating system" has no apk. Only Android based ones uses apk app.

All the apk can be obtained from Google Play Store except the one in VLAN600 / Streamyx STB.

The Android OS STBs can be switched between Unifi and Streamyx mode but the features and image quality in these two modes are totally different. Unifi mode requires VLAN600 while Streamyx mode requires Internet. The firmware upgrade addresses are different for these two modes as well.

ah... so, there are 2 com.tm.playtv apk's.... this is the mess they created.


just FYI, old silver STB, old 7.9.11 - all OK.

One is com.tm.unifitv... The other is com.tm.playtv... They're different.

EC6108V8 STB still have the channel also.

why you need used mod apk for unifi@play tv on mibox s. i used tx6, install unifi@play tv from google play store in my tx6. no need mod. always smooth run.

i use the mod ver.. the mod2 is for shield i guess..

Unifi TV version 1.1.10 from Playstore cannot run. Need to depend on mod version.

maybe ur mibox s the rooted box. you need unrooted for used unifi@play tv from google play store

com.tm.unifitv 1.1.10 and com.tm.playtv 1.2.17 are two DIFFERENT apps. Refer to my long post above. com.tm.unifitv only works on Unifi Plus Box and require mod to use on Android TV or Mi Box. com.tm.playtv is for phone and tablet and is not remote control friendly.
