QUOTE(trumpet @ Mar 27 2019, 10:18 AM) is it free or need to pay? It's included in Varnam Plus Pack and Ultimate Pack at no extra cost because they're going to replace Zee Tamil (CH 311), Zee Cinema (CH 333) and Zee TV (CH 341). The cessation of Zee channels is because of the launch of these channels exclusively in Zee5 platform.

Just for the benefit of everyone here, wondering about setting up playtv on their boxes or TVs - here's what I managed on my Sony Bravia KD55X7500F Android TV, and my Mi Box. First you'll need the Playtv APK for Tablet (APAD), you can get this online at any APK repositories - I am using version 7 9.5. Download and sideload into your devices. If you do not have a mouse or mouse toggle/ touchpad function, download and install Mouse Toggle for Android TV (approx RM12 on playstore). These are the instructions to set it up: https://troypoint.com/mouse-toggle-android-tv-nvidia-shield/Follow the instructions on the video carefully. The mouse toggle works well on my Mi Box controller, and surprisingly works with my TV remote too by pressing the Vol up + Vol down in sequence, as needed. Open your newly installed playtv app, and make use of your new mouse function to navigate. This post has been edited by Seager: Mar 30 2019, 01:45 PM

QUOTE(jessicat90 @ Mar 31 2019, 10:00 AM) Regarding PlayTV app in smart TV vs STB, is there any video quality difference? If compared to STB on Unifi, big difference in video quality and the app can't change subtitles. In the app, subtitles are hardcoded Malay but on Unifi STB can switch between off, English, Malay, Chinese. The app is kind of similar to the STB on Streamyx. By the way, anyone notice a Netflix entry in the VOD>Purchased>MyPackages section of the playTV app? This post has been edited by AV_2018: Mar 31 2019, 12:46 PM

QUOTE(tharmaraj @ Apr 2 2019, 07:29 AM) Anyone using this latest version-->playtv@unifi (tablet) TM.APAD.7.9.7 APK? If yes got any errors when launching any channels? Yes! The error code (105401) pops up every time I try to watch any channel or VOD title, but it worked before the update. I have messaged the team via Messenger. They ask me to try on my other device (which is my phone), but it's the phone version (V7.9.6), which is not the same version as the tablet version. I told them the situation, but they don't acknowledge that it's the technical issue. They just said that "Possible the device is not compatible with this app ya. Please try to use other phone if possible." I also saw that there're are users on Google Play Store complaining about this issue in the review section. I hope that they will fix it soon.
