QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Jan 15 2019, 06:10 PM) if you're getting paid 200k per annum to face assholes and clean shit then ok la. at least you're motivated by the money. You still have 1 reason to remain satisfied with your current job. The one thing I experience is...when my pay gets higher along with position...the asshole seem to get more assholic than previous co.will you do the same if you're being paid 1/4 of that amount now? FYI, I didn't sign up for all these shit when I was first hired. This post has been edited by Pete the great: Jan 15 2019, 07:33 PM |

The higher the income the harder to get a job. If u have few years experience and targeting around rm6k, i think should be ok. However if u targeting management jobs it will be harder.
Also, u need at least 1 year savings. This is a must especially at the current situation. 6 months won't cut it. Time moves very fast when u are jobless. This post has been edited by Hidan: Jan 15 2019, 08:53 PM |

Those who said tender first due to 3 months notice, why don’t u guys pay the old company after u secure a new job instead of resigning without any job offer? Isn’t it always better like that or there are some hidden factors as well?

Isn’t it always better like that or there are some hidden factors as well? I never do that before but from my analysis; because, at the end of the day it involves payment from own pocket? If someone is earning 4k/mth, a payment in lieu of 3 months period will be 12k edi, assuming no more AL to deduct. 12k is a huge sum for an individual. Not all companies is willing to pay for the notice period. Whereas if you tender and serve the notice period (since no job in sight), you can just clock in sharp, ular here and ular there, clock out sharp and your gaji still rolling in for the next 3 months. Then on last day can just MIA if wanna avoid those pesky farewell parties. lol |

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Jan 15 2019, 11:44 AM) Ya wei. The notice period is the reason why I can't secure some jobs too. Too long. Not all companies willing to buy out especially with the current economy condition where they need to keep cost low. Ko keje line ape? Industri apeNo, A-class is never a cheap car to begin with. Any cars above 200k isn't cheap. All the best. Syukur got bonus. I sudah 3 years no bonus despite helping company make 600k GP on November. Small SME only, where got VSS and all... Bosses will just keep on piling up your responsibilities to achieve 2 possible outcome: 1. choose to stay and continue doing all the jobs given but pay peanut (essentially 3 person job but 1 person pay) 2. choose to leave when it reaches the tipping point of "I can't take it anymore". Right now I'm somewhere between those 2 scenarios. 1.5. |

You never know what will happen.
I have cousin left managerial job cos politic in office was too strong. For a few months no job, savings almost dry up. No money pay, home installment... After a while, finally landed a new job, Now he is a millionaire. If he hadn't left the old job he wouldn't found a new job which made him rich.
