uninstall everything and install latest from apkpure.

Hand itch and got the TX3 S905x3 4GB/32GB for RM159

The performance is very good on my 4K TV.
2.4GHz wifi is not very good, can't do 4K Youtube, however LAN port is ok.
Didn't test 5GHz as i do not have one.
The user interface is not very good IMO because not remote controller friendly
when compare to HiMedia but the price different is so big.
Hope to have custom ROM in the future.

4k hdr is no problem with the box.

5ghz(N) if u hv... is better than 2.4ghz... but if u use ethernet, better still.

cannot compare to himedia!

himedia q10pro is far superior in terms of delivered picture quality and playback video+audio capabilities.

it is evident when u compare anything - astrogo, playtv, kodi...

but for its price, there is nothing to complain.

i use both on same tv... one is used with AVR/home theater, the other is direct with tv.

Anyone know how to change to four square box app shortcuts? Seems like after you set it for the first time, you cannot change it anymore

get tx3 mini or tx3?

my advice is tx3 s905x3 4+32gb.
cost rm50-60 more.
but newer more powerful chipset, bigger storage, dual band wifi, bluetooth, usb3.0.
well worth it; unless hardware failure, should be good for >3 years.

that format is the defactor standard in coming years, it is an open standard worked by big guys like Amazon, Cisco, Google, Intel, Microsoft, Mozilla and Netflix. Reason being H265 got stupid expensive patern licence fees. AV1 cost nothing.
AV1 also compress better than H265.

if People buying TV-box to keep for a couple of years, we need that format in.

No choice, have to buy new box when AV1 become available
