I'm too on official apks for AstroGo, Njoi and UnifiPlayTV and on this am3's firmware the trio still survive even after several updates.... hope it stays that way for few more years.

i think your box is only 2 years old.
if the box is built well, an s912 box android7 box should last u another 3 years at least.
if it fails, just buy another - plenty of cheap boxes for simple apps today!

I might not be able to spell out the workaround, but I can give the next best thing.
If time permits, I will write out how the flag detection program works within the app.

Error 111 or 1111 (can't remember exact code)- relates to root
Error 15401 or 105401 (can't remember exact code) - relates to wifi requirement

BTW, to that someone, I have copy and paste pmed to you. You were not the first to ask me directly.

I am certainly looking forward to your post on this because of your dissection of Astro Go in earlier post is bloody accurate and the first time in the whole of lowyat forum, I have come across of the 2 part-solution. Only downside is that it only works with Tx3 and the other few Tx series models.

I was given a mod Aotg 8.2.4 by the seller 4 months ago, and it works perfectly to my needs.
The mod version bypass the jailbroken notice, and Tx3 mini>setting>close root will allow the channels to stream instead of red turning circle. I didn't see any need to upgrade to 8.2.6 when 8.2.4 is working well.

I could watch all the free available channels available, namely :-
- Astro Prima
- Astro Oasis
- Astro Awani
- Astro Arena
- GO Shop (Malay)
- TV Al-Hijrah

- Astro AEC
- Astro Xiao Tai yAng
- Astro Xi Yue (HD)
- CCTV4
- Go Shop (Chinese)

- Astro Tutor UPSR
- Astro Tutor PT3
- Astro Tutor SPM

- eGG Network

- Astro Vaanavil
- Astro Tara HD
- Astro Makkal TV

I believe I used to be able to access Astro Ria but it seems no longer available now.

As for Unifi PlayTV, I also used a mod Version, and I could watch all theses channels :-

Parlimen Malaysia
Salam HD
TV1
TV2
TV3
NTV7
8TV
TV9
TV AlHijrah HD
Laku Mall
NHK WORLD- JAPAN
Channel News Asia
Bloomberg TV
Luxe.TV HD

In fact, the official version (regardless tablet or mobile version) of Unify PlayTV could also work  on my Tx3 box.
I downloaded the official version,  watch for free for 1 month by registering a new account, and after that limited to just these few channels listed above.

The normal errors encountered in Unifi
Error 15401
Error 111

Thank you for this post as well, and obviously a big thanks for the pm. I understand why you can't share it publicly. It is not only that, the IP link address you shared looks like someone's home private server.

However with that being said, the Wifi Emulator setting in Tx3 is to address some apps that refuses to connect to internet when the mobile app cannot see wifi connection and assume mobile data is being used in the android box. An example of such app is pCloud. It is after all, normal that mobile apps developers design their app for smartphones only and didn't think of android box. So can't fault the mobile app. That is why Wifi Emulator setting comes into play.....
*
And this as well. I always wonder what the Wifi Emulator setting does. As it doesn't seem to do anything when I tried it, in fact it even causes my ES Explorer ftp remote to stop working.

I think I will address you as the Tx3 Mini Expert, LOL.

checking...

can tx6 do astrogo and unifi playtv?

some fren is asking me to confirm but i can't.... can only confirm ok for tx3mini and tx5max.

side issue.. been hunting left right and center for an inexpensive smooth and reliable playback box for dtshdma/ddtruehd audio.... no success.

looks like there is not box that can do that for <rm500.

I have seen a few Tx6 Sellers (on facebook) peddling their warez as AstroGo compatible.

Been busy lately, so couldn't update on my 1GB Tx3 testing, but I found this by gregory_choo (I think the same Yong Choo of TV Box Sg FB)

user posted image

and I manage to disable them both in my Tx3, have to first deactivate Device Administrator for Find My Device.

user posted image

Haven't fully tested the impact of the 2 being disabled. At the moment, AstroGo and dimsum are affected, but Unify and iflix are okay without them.

Oh, and the SELLER [click here] has now upgraded to using FILELINKED APP for those who don't fancy using USB pendrive to install apps.

Google filelinked
https://www.filelinked.com/

Code : 63747386
Pin: six seven six seven

Installing apps is so much easier now, no need for PC, no need USB drive. Newbies would also know how to install apps now. In the filelinked also touched on 1GB Tx3 RAM.

there is no cheap airmouse... if u have the budget Mele F10 deluxe is v good but is RM80 or so.

alternative is to get a wireless mouse, e.g. logitec... a cheap one is <rm40 during promotion.

or, try this method using handphone... but i hv not tried it myself.

Agree with what has been writen above.
The best entry level box for first time users of Android Boxes.

FOUR months ago, I was a noob in this field. Back then, been reading a lot in here of recommendation getting RM300-600 branded boxes.
I  only wanted to to run Astro-On-the Go and Unifi Play TV, anything else is bonus. Jargons such as side loading, root, set orientation app,TWRP, recovery mode, etc etc was getting to my head.

Instead of asking for help in here, I jump right in and ask online sellers instead.
Mostly I only asks two Questions :-
a) Can the box run Astro-On-the GO and Unifi Play TV
b) What form of after sales support can I get.

I ended buying a Tx3 mini for only RM118 and other essential accessories, and met probably the BEST SELLER IN SHOPEE.
Technically sound, Honest and patient seller. Patient in answering all my doubts of android boxes. Came to a point, I was embarrassed to ask more questions. I have bought more expensive stuff and never ask that many questions before putting down payment.
Most importantly, a dedicated seller who responds to my queries with diligence and honesty up until late in the night. By far the most impressive seller who not only packs the box in a BIG AIR PACK bubble before delivery, but also provided SUPERB after sales service, with tips, help and apps to get me going.

Four months later, every day running 10 hours on average, the Tx3 mini is still going strong.
I have installed all imaginable streaming apps available free online, and some from the seller, the box performs well.
Yes there were crashes every now and then, but I felt I installed way too many apps. I monitored the memory, and removed unused apps taking up RAM memory. I have not even had to do any factory rest till today.
Get the 2 GB version as mentioned above. It is a must, if you want to install the freely available apps given.
Even though I don't have any issues with wifi in my surroundings, I still connect a LAN cable to the wifi router to make sure any problem arises is not due to the internet fault or wifi. Touch wood, no connection issues till today.

My only hesitation at first was why the seller doesn't pre-install apps like others sellers do.
The reason was of Legal issues promoting terms like Pre-install, Apps, Kodi  in the description, as that is barred in US and EU.

But I felt it is a good thing,  as I play with a bare bones box and learn my way around it. Instead of being populated with mass amount of apps and when things go wrong, I dunno where to start.

In fact, android boxes is no different to Android Mobile phones. If you use ES Explorer in your android phones, there shouldn't be any problem navigating any android box. For those who don't, then a handy USB drive is required to copy files and apps over to the box. It is not rocket science to install apps that are not available from Google Play Store. The seller will guide you step by step.

Google Play Store works perfectly but I suggest using a different Google account for the box for security reasons if you intend to try out all types of apps.
Overall, well worth the RM118 I spent. A great performing box for my needs, and an enjoyable experience buying from Shopee with the Shopee Chat.

You don't have to believe me, just check out other recent customers comment of the seller. Go read back up to 4 months ago.

if your use is simple, there is no other box that will beat tx3mini for its price.

those rm600 boxes have their own powerful features like auto framerate switching and hd audio pass through not found in other boxes... buy u may not need it.

there are basically 3 groups of boxes:

1. capable of simple apps, basic features only.

2. capable of netflix hd/4k.

3. capable of advanced playback features - bluray menu, hd audio, ddatmos, dtsx.

so, there are choices.

just be careful not to pay rm600 for a cheap box with false promises of this free and that free life!
