DAY 4 (Continued)~

After resting awhile in Hotel 1001 Malam, we head off to Prambanan temple~
We went there by bus~ There's a bus station located at Jln Malioboro~
Take the 1A TransJogja Bus where it will take you straight to the Prambanan bus station~


When we reach the Prambanan bus station, we take the beca to the temple~
If you're planning on walking there, its quite a distance but a bit time consuming~

There's 2 entrance ticket area - 1 for the local and 1 for the tourist~
This is the entrance ticket hall for the tourist~
There's washroom inside, fully air conditioned, free drink, television and other~


The ticket price~ USD13 per pax~

Nearby the Prambanan temple also have a few temples~
U can either walk or take the mini train that go around those temple~
After visiting the temples for the half days, we take the beca back to the Prambanan bus station and straight back to Malioboro street~

We then have lunch at a cafe nearby 1001 Malam~

DAY4 (Continued)

When night falls, we went jalan-jalan nearby~
Visit some stalls by the roadside~
My friend bought a piece of tauhu goreng from this stall~


Then we visit the shopping mall opposite the street~


Inside the shopping mall~


There's also McD and other fast food restaurant like this one...


After walking around the mall we head back to the same cafe that we had for lunch~
Our dinner to end the day~

DAY5~

Today will be a whole day trip at Solo~
Places to visit will be Candi Sukuh, Candi Ceto and Tawangmangu Waterfall~
Before starting our journey, here's our breakfast~


The journey to Solo will be a long one just like the Dieng Plateau trip~
Plus we will going up and down the mountain and the view is superb~
Our first stop is Candi Sukuh~ My driver called it the "Erotic Temple"~
The air is cooling and refreshing~


U can also climb up the temple~
But becareful of the narrow steps~

After spending our time there, we head off to the next stop - Candi Ceto~
The surrounding around Candi Ceto~


We have to walk up in order to reach the candi~




Saw a monk came out from this wooden hut~ Must be praying or meditating inside~




After visiting both candi, we went for lunch~

We didnt managed to visit the top of Borobuddur due to restoration~

If you're planning to visit Borobuddur for the sunrise trip, its advisable to stay a night in Manohara hotel~
If u stay at Malioboro street, the journey to Borobuddur is around 45minute to an hour~
then u have to wake up very early for the sunrise trip but i still not sure whether the Borobuddur sunrise trip is applicable for outside guest~

If u are planning to Dieng Plateau, u can plan a day trip there and then back to Malioboro street~
Same goes to the day trip to Solo~

However for the Kaliurang Mount Merapi sunrise trekking trip advisable to stay there coz u need to wake up early~
Unless you're not planning to trek there, then u can plan a day trip to Kaliurang, and/or Kaliadem~

So in other word, if you're not planning any sunrise trip its possible to stay at the town for all nights~

wish u have a safe and enjoyable trip~
i'm missing Jogja dy~

Hmmm~ Kaliurang is a small town nearby Mount Merapi~
There's a national park there and foods stall there~




Trekking a bit far but turun bukit faster~
If u dont want to trek, u can just talk a walk around the park and makan makan a bit~

However, Kaliadem is a destroyed village caused by the previous volcano eruption~
If u went there at the right timing with no cloud at the sky, u can the the mount merapi at wide angle~

The day we went there have big cloud covering Mount Merapi~

Day5 - Continued~

After visiting Candi Sukuh & Ceto, we head for lunch at restaurant~
Our driver brought us here to eat~






There also have seat outside facing the beautiful mountain~
Too bad outside seat full so we seat inside~


The food~
The ubi ball with cili padi~ Nice~
But of coz i didnt eat with the cili padi~








This is i think called Soda Gembira~
Drink this when i was in Bali b4~


Next stop - Tawangmangu Waterfall~

Day5 - Continued~

After having our lunch, we head off to our final destination - Tawangmangu Waterfall~
When we reached there, our driver told us that there will be a "few" steps down the stairs to reach the waterfall~
There will be a total of 1,250 steps to achieve for back and forth~
So there will be a bit of "jungle trekking" while you can enjoy the green scenery~






Finally after a "few" walks down the stairs, we have reached the waterfall~




There's also a swimming pool for the kids to play but of course have to pay for it~


After enjoying the green scenery, and the waterfall its time to climb the stairs back up to see our driver~
Our effort of climbing the stairs are recognized by the board~


Day is getting dark and its dinner time~
Dine at a restaurant~ Not many people that time~ Maybe pass the local dinner time~


These is what we had most of the time in Jogja - Bakso and Ayam Goreng haha~




After dinner we head back to 1001 Malam, Malioboro street~
Thats the last day the driver served us and we gave him some tips for his service~
Another day end filled with adventure and tiring leg haha~

U can use my itinerary for reference since we have similiar days there~

1st day
Bus from Air Port To Borobudur
1. From the airport Adisucipto by TRANS JOGJA NO.3A to CONDONG CATUR bus stop
2. From Condong Catur bus stop by TRANS JOGJA NO.2A to TERMINAL JOMBOR (about 15 minutes, Rp3000, this is the same bus like before but with diferent number)
3. From Terminal Jombor by CEMARA TUNGGAL or GADING INDAH bus to TERMINAL BOROBUDUR (about one hour, Rp12.000)
4. From Terminal Borobudur you can use andong (horse carriage,Rp10.000) or becak (pedicab, Rp5.000) into the borobudur temple area, usually pedicab man will offer you tours to other temple arround borobudur like Mendut and Pawon temple, because they are still in the same area.


2nd day
4am Wake up for Borobudur sunrise
8am Pick up at Manohara hotel Borobudur
9.30-10.30am Wonosobo Mie Ongklok Jalan Pasukan Ronggolawe No.14
10.45-11.15am Telaga Menjer
11.45-12.45pm Telaga Warna

Day 6~

This is the last day for jalan2 and tomorrow we will depart~
Today will be more of a free and easy~
Morning we went to Taman Sari & Kraton~

We took a beca there and be aware that they will give u suggestion to visit batik shop & etc~
This is normal as he told me he wanna earn commission~
So honest~

He drop us at this entrance~
The guy in the green white stripes shirt "officially" became our tour guide~
He offer us went he saw us walking in~


He brought us there going through the underground pathway~








After exiting from another entrance we walk a minutes to Taman Sari~
we pay the entrance ticket and our "tour guide" escort us and explain to us the history~






There's also people doing wayang kulit and batik near the compound~
A shop also selling batik and other souvenirs~

Day 6 - Continue~

After visiting Taman Sari, we walk back to the main street through the maze like housing area~
Its interesting walking as we get to see any nice painting on the wall~






We then took a beca to Kraton@Yogyakarta Palace~
Upon arriving we paid the entrance ticket and an official tour guide is a must haha since its included~

There's a some rehearsal going in the palace with instruments being played mostly by the eldery~
