Just thought I'd like to share some tips as well. Just got back from Yogjakarta.

The entrance fees have somewhat hiked up and some differs from the info I gather from the web. Here's some entrance fees for reference:

Kraton: 12,500Rp (Force u to take guide and need to pay tips after that)
Taman Sari: 9,000 Rp
Merapi Entrance to Kinahrejo: 11,000 Rp
Entrance to Dieng: 3,000 Rp
Candi Arjuna & Kawah Sikidang: 20,000 Rp
Telaga Warna: 9,000 Rp
Photo Permit: 1,000 Rp (applicable to most entrances)

Borodudor- US$15/pax
Prambanan - US12/pax

They love the place.

They stayed in Hotel Dana in Solo.
Cheap, clean & nice food.

Hmm, Yogya sounds good. Actually beside the borobudur, are there any interesting places, like handicraft, or beach, seafood..
How about the cost, any shopping places, any cheap hotel, anybody can share their experience here..

Get a travel guidebook before the trip is an good idea for you to plan your trip. You may get many useful informations about hotels and accommodations, tourist attractions, local foods etc. I tried Yogyakarta travel guidebook at a4trip. It really helps me alot in my Yogyakarta trip in last months. Check it out! smile.gif smile.gif
