Littleprawn, how did you manage to find magnets souvenir there? My friends and I just came back from Jogja, we looked high and low along Jalan Malioboro hunting for magnets but couldn't see any stalls selling...mostly are selling tshirts, key chains, etc.  Didn't see any at the stalls in Prambanan either.
*
for the magnet souvenirs i bought from an unexpected place - the airport~ sweat.gif
but have to pay airport price~ laugh.gif
i'm also curious y those stall didnt sell these magnet souvenirs~ hmm.gif
Prambanan also selling almost the same thing in Malioboro street~

ah..no wonder la tongue.gif  we actually had thoughts of shopping at the airport too cos we wanted to finish off our IDR.  but then when we reached the airport, we straightaway went into the departure lounge.  we forgot that all the shops are actually situated outside the airport  wink.gif
*
oic~ i didnt intend to shop there but i forgotten to buy something for my friends so choose the most affordable one there~ laugh.gif
the price there sure is higher than those at Malioboro street~ sweat.gif

Try ask the hotel u are staying at~

Hello everyone!

will be going to Yogya from 22-26 jan with the fam...

here's the itinerary that i've planned after reading from the previous ones posted here...do comment and give advice ya!

*
when i reach the airport i took the public bus to Borobudur~
going to prambanan temple i also use the public bus~
both temple u will need to take beca from the bus station to reach~

other place like Dieng and Solo i use the same driver~
prices to Dieng and Solo is higher compare to the rest since they need hours of driving to reach~ max prices for both places for a day trip is around 500k rph~

after ur dieng trip u should head back to Jogja~ Solo trip requires 1day trip and so is Dieng~ Both places need around 3-4hours of driving for 1 way trip~

malioboro street and jogja is the same~

yup we did Borobudur sunrise and Dieng on the same day~
the sunrise trip plus breakfast ended around 8am plus~
were supposed to leave ard 9am but driver caught in traffic due to unforeseen circumstances~

yes we check out the b4 we went for the dieng trip~
after dieng trip we check in Kaliadem at night aroung10-11pm plus coz journey is far and we went quite many candi~
i guess u should go to those selected one and not all~ haha~

if u planning to go solo i suggest 24th since u r using driver the previous day~

on 25th u can go prambanan temple for half day and back malioboro for shopping~

Got public bus from the airpok direct to Borobudur? Or gotto change at the terminal in Yogya?

Has anyone stayed at the Manohara?  How izzit ah?
*
Last time my route is from Airport Adisucipto take Trans Jogja No.3A to Terminal Condong Catur bus stop (Rp3k,15min)~ Condong Catur terminal take Trans Jogja No.2A to Terminal Jombor (15min)~ When reach Condong Catur, we didnt paid any ticket fee since its Rp3k per trip as long you dont go wondering out of the "bus stop" Later they charge you another Rp3k~

Terminal Jombor take CEMARA TUNGGAL or GADING INDAH bus to Terminal Borobudur (Rp15k, an hour)

When reach terminal borobudur take beca to hotel Manohara~

Its a very peaceful environment at Manohara hotel~
Not much to do At night except dinner or relax in ur room~

However u have unlimited access to the temple during the day~

After googling, I found that Dieng is not a beach. Got mountains and lake which look damn nice.
But unfortunately it's as cold as cameron highlands, which my mum can't take. So this place is definately out.

I only have 1 free day, if I dun go to Parangtritis....where else do u suggest? Must be warm temp.
*
Dieng is not that cold like cameron... well thats during the time i go~
not sure will be cooler during diff times~
if planning to overnight i think nite will be cooler~

yes, typo error is March 2014.

Any comment on the Rumah Boedi Private Residence Borobudur?

Can non-Manohara Hotel's guest go in the Borobudur for sunrise tour?
*
no comment on the private residence~

if u r non Manohara guest and wanna join the tour i think u need to arrange with the place u staying c whtehr they provide sunrise tour~
u cant simply just go in i guess coz there will be guard~

QUOTE(oneeleven @ Nov 5 2013, 09:21 PM)
Can anyone recommend a thorough package tour of Borobudur, Dieng, Mendung, Prambanan etc. that can be arranged from KL?
*

1) Taxi willing to take me from Jogja to Gunung Kidul area? It's around 2 hours away I think.

2) In Gunung Kidul area, I'm interested to go to Pindul cave, sri gethuk waterfall and pantai indrayanti. Are they within walking distance?

~ rp100 to 150K extra from the yogYes website. I also reluctant to book online or call them b4 going and regreted bcos all those drivers in Jogja controlled by the agents. and for sure agents want $$  smile.gif
*
the driver charged taxes also if not mistaken~ hmm.gif

Thanks. I sent messages to three of them requesting a quotation via that site but so far none have replied. I guess have to call ...
Hi! I'd appreciate it if you could let me have your previous driver's contact. Definitely prefer to go with someone recommended rather than picking one out of the blue.
