Hi everyone. I am GrabAlpha (recruiter), all the info below are basic knowledge of how to be a GrabDriver.

Grab (formerly known as GrabTaxi) is a technology company that offers wide range of ride-hailing and logistics services through its app in Southeast Asia, specifically in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines. As of July 2016, the number of drivers registered in the network was over 350,000, and the Grab app was downloaded onto more than 19 million mobile devices across Southeast Asia.

Sign up here: https://www.grab.com/my/driver/car/
Ensure that you have taken picture of your IC, ehailing PSV License, your personal face picture, and Latest Car Insurance Policy (your name must be stated in the policy) for upload purpose.
Or
Sign up with GrabAlpha (specialise on recruiting new driver. Does not need to go to GC centre for activation) (usually training will be provided in whatsapp group)

Driver rules of conduct, How to use the driver apps, Driver manual, online training will be given once registered.

Driver Eligibility
-21 years old or above
-Full Malaysian license (no ‘P’) + Malaysian IC
-Car manufacturing year 2012 or newer, minimum Myvi/Axia (economy)
-Ehailing PSV License (Go for ehailing PSV class at driving school (1 day), book for exam (1 hour 60 questions), then apply Ehailing PSV license from JPJ office after exam exam (within 10 mins).

There are 3 types of payment from customer:
1. Cash (collect cash from passenger)
2. Grabpay (credit card payment, Grab will topup the amount to your cash wallet in driver apps. If got passby toll then add the toll amount when drop off passenger in the driver apps. All the amount will topup in cash wallet so do not collect cash from passenger)
3. PROMO (All PROMO amount will go to your cash wallet too. It is discount given to passenger. If the fare is RM10 cash and promo RM5 then only collect RM5 from passenger. Another RM5 will pay by Grab to your cash wallet)


Payment Process
Weekly Payment Cycle: Mon 12:00 am – Sun 11.59 pm

Incentive Payout: Times Booster bonus directly top up to your cash wallet. Other incentive payout usually on second working day after the end of Incentive time period.

Transfer from Cash Wallet to Bank Account : within one or second working day (For Maybank), within 2 working day (For non-Maybank)

- You might get second trip request even you have not drop off the first trip passenger. Just accept it and Grab will inform second trip passenger you are dropping off the first trip passenger. The second trip pick up location usually are very near or same location with the first trip drop off location.

GrabShare
- You might get 2 matched trips at the same time. Both trips passengers want to go same direction or same drop off location. So 2 passengers are only allowed on each trip. It will be either 1+1, 1+2 or 2+2 passengers.

GrabAlpha
- It is selected by GC for recruiting new driver in easier way.

Grab AllStar

Grab Ambassador (Not available anymore)
- Opt in Grab Ambassador to get 20% commission deduction.
- Cannot have competitor driver app in your mobile phone.

Grab Associate (Not available anymore)
- 25% commission deduction.
- For drivers who want to keep competitor driver app such as Uber Driver.

Hour Guarantee Incentive Programme (Not available anymore for new driver)
- Acceptance rate at least 80%.
- Rating 4.7 or above.
- Good for full time drivers who want to maximize income.

Grab-Flexi Incentive Programme (The below requirement no longer effective. All new driver will get Grab Flexi incentive provided fulfill the requirement stated in your driver apps)
- RM5 minimum fare guarantee.
- RM6 minimum fare guarantee if achieve 50 trips per week.
- Other incentive (check from the website or driver apps)
- It is created for drivers who do not want to opt for hour guarantee incentive.

Grab-Pro (no longer available since 9th Oct 2017)
- Acceptance rate need at least 88%.
- Hour guarantee incentives.
- For drivers who have competitor driver apps.

Platinium Partner (no longer available)
- Priority Allocation as reward.
- Useful for full-time driver.
- Can get ping easily I believe.
- Enjoy Grab Auto benefits up to 50% (normal 30%)

Grab Ka-ching (no longer available)
- Purchase more credits with lower price.
- Good for full time driver.

Grab Hitch (no longer available) (removed on June 2017-before Hari Raya)
- Good for inter-state trip. Example Penang to KL.
- Able to get passengers from whole Malaysia.
- No need to pay commission to Grab.
- Toll bear by driver.

GrabFleet (no longer available from Septemper 2017)
- GrabFleet was created to increase the quantity of full time drivers in the market.
- It is only for full time driver.
- There is target base on the fleet. Most of the fleet require driver to work 60 hours and complete 105 trips per week.

FAQ

1. What if customer insist do not want to pay toll?
You can report in your driver apps and claim back the money. Grab Driver app > Support > Help Centre > report past trip.

2. What if I receive a job and require me to pass by toll before I pick up the passenger?
Just report the past trip like above.

3. What if I reach the drop off location and passenger run away without paying?
Just report the past trip like above.

4. What if customer does not appear after I reach the pick up location?
Wait 5 mins, if no show then press cancel and select "Passenger no show", you will get RM3 compensation and it wont affect your cancellation rate.

EVP

How to apply EVP from APAD?
You do not need to apply EVP yourself. As long as your PSV license and insurance covernote still remain update/activate in your Grab Driver account before the expiry date of EVP, Grab will auto update EVP for you without any request.

JustGrab = ping given to the nearest drivers. If teksi is nearer then u get teksi. If Grabcar is nearer then u get grabcar.

Minister want ehailing driver to get Socso. We are not under employment and most of the drivers are part time. Grab also cover insurance of driver and passenger.
Might as well all self-employ including ramli burger seller, ins agent and others get Socso too.

Ita drivers like this whom gives other drivers a bad image. If dont want to pick up just ignore it. Dont be a bitch.

1. Tiada lagi lanjutan. 12hb merupakan tarikh Penguatkuasaan. Hanya kenderaan yang mempunyai EVP sahaja yg dibenarkan beroperasi

2. Hanya 43,000 sahaja EVP yg telah dikeluarkan. Tetapi hanya sebuah kenderaan sahaja yg telah membuat Declaration di JPJ. Justeru, semua kenderaan perlu membuat Declaration sebelum 12 Oktober di JPJ. Jika tiada Declaration, pemandu boleh disaman. Ini bermakna semua kenderaan yang mempunyai EVP wajib membuat Declaration.

Untuk membuat Declaration di JPJ, berikut adalah dokumen yg diperlukan dan boleh dibuat di mana sahaja cawangan yg berdekatan.
PEMILIK
- IC dan Salinan
- Borang EH1
- Borang JPJK8
- EVP

PEMANDU@WAKIL
- Salinan IC Wakil
- Surat Wakil
- Borang JPJK8 yang telah ditandatangani oleh Pemilik.

Tiada bayaran yang dikenakan untuk Declaration dan tiada proses pertukaran dari kenderaan persendirian. Ianya hanyalah maklumat tambahan akan dimasukkan iaitu Kenderaan E Hailing

3. Setiap pemandu perlu diberikan EVP fizikal. Walaupun setiap apps mempunyai fungsi lampiran tersebut, ianya tidak boleh digunapakai ketika ditahan oleh JPJ mahupun Apad kerana antara mereka masih tiada link. Jadi semua eho perlu menyediakan EVP Fizikal tersebut kepada pemandu.

4. Selepas 12 Oktober, pemandu Wajib mempunyai EVP dahulu sebelum melakukan pemeriksaan kenderaan di Puspakom.

5. Tiada lagi EPSV selepas 12 Oktober. Pemandu hanya boleh akses pda EPSV sehingga 11 Oktober sahaja.

6. Sekiranya pemandu LULUS ujian PSV, tetapi masih dalam proses untu mendapatkan fizikal kad PSV, pihak syarikat boleh memberikan EVP kepada pemandu. Dengan syarat, JPJL8A mereka juga lulus. Bermakna pemeriksaan kesihatan mereka tiada masalah. Proses ini iaitu, apply EVP tanpa kad PSV berlansung sehingga 31 Disember 2019.
Cara untuk apply : Screen shoot keputusan ujian memandu tersebut dan gambar lulus pemeriksaan kesihatan tersebut dan mohon.

as long as you pass the PSV exam and waiting to proceed PSV license and/or EVP, you still can drive provided you upload your PSV result or license to Grab.

Those who do not have ehailing daily or annual insurance will not be able to receive job (by stage) started from 11 Oct 2019.

Those who havent do puspakom (car above 3 years) your account still can receive job but at your own risk.
