Word on the street is that they are taken aback by so many e-hailing drivers who are yet to register for PSV. It's like a silent protest from our side against them, and they surely don't want the public to hound them day and night due to the sharp decline of available e-hailing drivers on the road and going back to hail for cabs by the roadside is a no-no for the majority of PRU15 voters 😉

at first i targeted rm200 clean profit everyday, 1 day off weekly.  no life.
then after i stabilized, i reduced my target to rm170 or so and started allocating time to self.
after that, as I put in more time to myself, I enrolled in kelas mengaji at local surau, going to gym, have better lifestyle, spend more time with family, I kept it at rm150 clean profit everyday.

these days, i need to work extra time to get that rm150. need to put in few more extra hours.
on bad days, i can get demotivated too. not even rm100 clean I alreeady went home.

this week i havent worked much as im too busy packing up my stuffs to move places.
I dunno how will grab work affects me once i move to new places. im quite scared tbh...

Subuh is quite late these days, around 6.10am in Putrajaya. That being said, you can still perform Subuh prayer in congregation at your nearest masjid and straight away start Grabbing after you've finished your solat. Like other sifus have said here, target 6am-10am fares. You might even be able to gross RM80-RM120 during that period.

I don't drive between 5pm-8pm because I find it difficult to pray Asar and Maghrib in that period, especially when I'm stuck in crazy KV traffic jams.

My DR has been hovering at 4.95 for nearly a year or so, but last week it went up to 4.96.

On Monday, my DR went up to 4.97 and it stays like that until Saturday. I turned on my app just now and to my surprise my DR shot up to 4.99.

I know DR doesn't equal to more money, but it feels kind of good to know that you've done something right in your job, even if it's as insignificant as your DR but you don't need to stress your life for it. As long as you're above 4.8, then you're good to go.

For some reason, my income for this week is also the highest so far this year, and that still doesn't include tips from the riders yet. Alhamdulillah, all praise belongs to God.

after july 12, grab and any ehailing company only can charge maximum 20% according to e-hailing Act.

so would it be on AA = 15%, no AA = 20%?

if no difference, new driver also say bye bye to AA
*
They will surely come up with a new rule to overcome this issue eg at least 50% of weekly trips must come from AA or face termination 😂

SG gonna implement cancellation fee towards riders. As expected, riders feedback are disastrous. Instead of attacking grab, they vent their anger towards driver. Usual replies are such "if driver cancel then we get $4?" "There's a cancel button so it's up to us to choose our driver suka hati" "what if the driver is the one who asks us to cancel?" "driver suka2 cancel can, we cancel kena punish?!"

Then this one comment crack me up. He said that drivers should not accept booking when they are not even dropping off current passenger yet. Guy doesn't even know the concept of b2b. Such a privileged person.

Your thoughts?

Happened to me today!

7.00 AM, after dropped off a passanger at Titiwangsa, I received another ping from an Indian passenger named Vijay (bukan nama sebenar) at about 1 km from my dropped off location. So I quickly go to the area to pickup Vijay.

When I reach at Vijay's condominium, 2 Indian guy waving at me and enter my car. I greeted “Good morning Mr. Vijay”, and he replied “Good morning to you too”. I quickly pressed pickup and drove to the location -  HKL.

The traffic on Jalan Tun Razak was heavy and one of the passenger told me to use another road to avoid traffic. Since CRAP told us to negotiate with the passenger for the best road to choose, I just follow.

When I realised that I was heading to Ulu Klang via bulatan Pahang, I knew something is really wrong. And suddenly I saw GRAB's number calling and Vijay texted me "Where are you? I am late for work!!" , I think I know what is going on. I started to run several plan on how to deal with 2 big, half drunk and hairy Indian guy in my car.

Not more than 1 min,  the one who sit beside me said “I think you already knew that we are not your passenger.." I was like "Shiiiiiit..", and I was really lucky when I saw a bus stop where many people is waiting for the bus. I quickly hit my brake and immediately open my door and get out of the car in front of everyone and tell " Get the fuck out of my car!!". The passengers freaked out, swiftly get out from my car and ran away. I was panicked and didn't really want to kejar them.

While still shaking, I called Vijay, explained and apologized. Vijay was furious because he was late and he could not get another ride while I still haven't 'drop him off' in the App. But at least he knew I wasn't purposely did that and he forgive me. I cannot call GRAB while still on the ride and I have to press 'drop off' before the Call Us option available on the screen. And the GRAB Helpline operator said I should not end the ride, so he could cancel the trip. I think GRAB has no idea how their app's works.

The option to call police is never been in my head because there is no way I could navigate to the option while driving and these two crook are watching me.

What a shitty day.
*
Thank God nothing bad happened to you. Who knows what might happen had Vijay not call you. At least you knew how to handle that situation in a decent manner. Had it been me, only God knows what will happen to those punks.

This is why many senior drivers have been making noise for the past 1.5 years for riders' ID to be verified before they can book for a trip but the management couldn't care less. Anyone still remember Aiman Nosri, a Grab driver who died in his car in Selayang with strangle marks on his neck? What has Grab done for drivers safety other than providing us with a cumbersome and confusing emergency button in its app? Nada.

Grab should do away with AR and CR between 11pm until 6am, and why the hell does the driver app show that I'm in Bintulu when I'm actually in Putrajaya right now?

Yes, that's a good tip. And if they want to change their destination, tell them to change it in their app. If they can't, you know something's wrong.

After that faster chase him out from car and call CS to cancel. Now my question is, how come it appear China guy name? is it because tourist use that phone number before or that person is a robber?

Last year I got one rider from Kajang named something like John Chong. I thought he was a Chinese guy but then an African appeared and told me it's him. These guys always has a way to make sure you won't cancel on them lol.

I was in Putrajaya when I saw that Kajang was glowing red. When I arrived in Kajang, suddenly that red color has disappeared! I was so frustrated because 20km go and forth is no joke and Kajang was just as bad as Putrajaya.

So I went to Bangi to grab something to eat when suddenly the heat map showed Kajang went glowing red again.

This is why I have serious trust issues with the heat map.

When was that?

I drove 10km to Kajang because it was such a slow day in Putrajaya. I wanted to see if the heat map really is the shit. Turns out it's just shit.

Finally they copy Uber system after 2 freaking years

Wow this is another half-assed thought move from Grab.

Why don't they just automatically add the rider's penalty on top of his fare beforehand? Let's say the rider's fare is RM5. Just add RM3 in his total fare and show it in that rider's app so that he knows he has to pay RM8.

I can already imagine the number of arguments us drivers will face after this.

Taking away RM 3 from drivers' cash wallet so that we will have an extra motivation to collect RM3 from penalized riders? Grab has literally reached a whole new level of stupidity. They want to teach the riders a lesson, at the expense of the people who rake in money for them - the drivers. Imagine three riders who don't want to pay RM3, that's RM9 already taken away from your CW. Now you have to call the CS to get back that RM9. This is just too cumbersome.

Some drivers support cancellation fee, others don't. It's hard to be Grab laugh.gif

Last time Uber cancellation fee was RM5 (driver got RM3.75), but minimum fare was RM3. Many drivers abused it.

Now Grab cancellation fee is RM3 (all goes to the driver), while minimum fare is RM5. I think this is just right.
*
Actually, nothing goes to the driver, as Grab will deduct RM3 from the driver's credit wallet. How about that for a pre-emptive ah long move 😂

On a side note, I hate the new job pop-up screen. Maybe it will grow on me later but I find it quite difficult to read now.

This happened to me once back in Dec 2017 IIRC.

I went to pick up a rider somewhere in Cyberjaya. It was a RM5 trip. When I arrived at the pick up spot, she told me to unwind my window, gave me RM5 and then she straight away went into her friend's car and they were gone in a jiffy.

I was very confused at that time, so I waited for 15 minutes before I clicked Drop Off and I straight away made a remark to the CS stating that the rider didn't ride with me but she did however pay for the untaken trip. After a few days, the cs replied by saying he/she was sorry that the rider didn't take a ride with me and they will resolve this issue with the rider. It was at that point I was very convinced that Grab's staffs only know how to copy and paste answers.

Why the hell did you feel sorry for me? You should've felt happy for me because the rider paid me RM5 for not picking her up 😂

On what hour u driving? read back your notification about incentive, only MP/UP/P entitle for time booster.

That is the general guideline but personally I've received quite a number of TBBs during off peak hours here in Putrajaya.

This job was on Tuesday. Look at the time. This is just one of the many TBBs that I've received during off-peak hours in Putrajaya so far.

Alhamdulillah, after 1.5 years of driving for Grab, I've made it back to my first day DR 😁 This comes quite as a surprise because my car seats are full of smudges. I guess riders just want a driver who keeps his mouth to himself and just drive like an uncle 😂

Not that DR 5.0 has any effect on my income but it does feel good to achieve something in life. From now on, I couldn't care less what my DR will be, as long as it's above 4.80.

By the way, I received a ping from Presint 14 heading to KLIA at 6.45am this morning. RM45+4.50. I thought TBB is not available for long distance trips and airport jobs?

Take this as example, net earning RM7.30, no incentive block and if u open AA it is RM0.40 per min, so grab estimate u need 18.25min to complete this job.
That is how Grab implement in the past to beat Uber, fast forward until now they are force to implement cancellation fee as well.
Any trip still entitle for incentive, airport is different as they calculate based on KM, per KM is RM0.85 guarantee (To KLIA). Read back the notification on 8 Mar 2019.

For your case u get RM40.50 nett for KLIA trip, based on google map the longest route is 46km, so u entitle for nett earning of RM39. I think the system choose the fastest route and calculate based on that.

Are u getting a job on justgrab, grabcar+ or 6 seater?
*
Presint 14 to KLIA is 40km at most or 36km if you don't mind taking your chances against the traffic lights. It was a JG job.
