Positive Ratings Never Go Unnoticed

We always take a driver-partner’s positive ratings into consideration before we take any disciplinary action. In addition, Driver Rating plays a huge part in terms of determining your monthly status for GrabAllStars. The better the status, the better the reward

KLIA Queue

We are working on enhancements to the queue which will protect driver-partners who complete short-distance trips. Stay tuned for further updates!

Grab still dare not implement passenger rating. Driver able to rate passenger just like Uber.
Well, passenger is always right for Grab anyway and they scared to lose all the customers.
*
Well, in our laporan pernilaian mingguan, the drivers average is always 4.91. So if our rating is below that or about the same, they can ban us if receive rider complaints by counterclaimed that our 4.8 ~4.9 rating is nothing to shout about. LOL

Also, for full timer without no other employment, it is good to have a medical card or insurance to cover ourself in case accident happen to us.

Minister want ehailing driver to get Socso. We are not under employment and most of the drivers are part time. Grab also cover insurance of driver and passenger.
Might as well all self-employ including ramli burger seller, ins agent and others get Socso too.

Does anyone have experience or know someone successful claiming something from this grabcar insurance?

As far as I know it does not cover situation like robbery ( loss of money/property) during rides, car damages during the ride, loss of personal items during rides.

There would also difficulty encounter if we wish to claim from our own motor insurance when accident occurred but our insurance company know that we used our vehicle for doing grab (commercial purpose)

As usual, Grab would send standard sorry email to drivers as usual.
That’s about it.

For new drivers reference purpose

Seems to me some drivers were not aware of the grabcar disciplines procedure.

Attending re-education class means you are in their watch list.

Calling CS is like speaking to hospital operator to inquire about your condition or side effects... tongue.gif

Hello, why ah the drugs given by doctor is causing me dizzy and vomiting? i am seeing blue and got harden too?  doh.gif

How many operators can tell them if they are on erectile dysfunction drugs and advise them to consult the concerns to the respective doctors?
*
Most of the company operator will direct us to the right person who can answer our concerns as part of the service.

Either leave our handphone and they call later or we can call back the right person direct number later that were given by operator if pic was not around at the time of calling

No such answer like “we will escalate your matter to the right department” and after that we don’t hear anything from grab office anymore.

What to do? 1 lembu quit 10 new lembu are joining.

Careful with wording used in grab chat function.

As mentioned by someone in Facebook. Rating 4.9 can’t save our drivers ass.

This applies to Malaysia?

No. Singapore only

Also, Cancellation fees will also be waived if drivers arrive after the estimated time of arrival by more than 5 minutes. For example, if the user was allocated a driver who is 3 minutes away, but waited for more than 8 minutes.

The grab cs is outsource or internal?
Everytime raise a case want to close fast fast. Sometime reply different thing
*
I encountered a rider vomit in my car and made a report to grabcar that I tend to make a claim for cleaning. But the CS replied with another standard reply template that don’t address my issue at all. I make further response to the same email but that CS never replies me with anything.

So I make another fresh report via my app and luckily another more helpful CS assisiting me in this issue.

I gave 5 star rating for the second CS and 1 star rating for the first CS.

Best thing you know what? For the first CS instance, The system only send the “about your help experience” for me to rate 3 weeks later to close the case. Long After I finished rating second CS. I guess she hope I have forgotten it but i didn’t.

After u rate 1 star, did another cs call u?
The rating is very important... i feedback very harsh. They call me back.

I lodge many emails until i have a list which cs terrible one.

The impression that the bad one give me is they buta gaji, fast fast close case. Thats why eager to find out are they outsource or internal
*
No. Most of the time I didn’t rate. Except this one because the CS helping me through the whole process from advising the claim procedure and follow up with my claim with their payment team.

Because I know it was only their standard reply.

normally i give 1 star direct to those CS who did not answer properly after a few reply. then put feedback on that matter.
*
Have you encountered case that the CS delayed in closing the case? Till we think that they would not send us the “about your help experience” email which allow us to rate the cs?

But they did eventually after certain time, could be 2-3 weeks later. I suspect they do it intentionally.

LETTER | A taxi driver from Sungei Petani, Kedah shared there was a meeting between the Road Transport Department (JPJ), Land Public Transport Agency (Apad) and e-hailing operators on Wednesday.

Currently, there are 258,000 e-hailing drivers in Apad’s record. But the number may be reduced by 90 percent come July 12 when the one-year moratorium ends and enforcement begins.

This is because a new category of licence known as "e-hailing taxi" will be introduced and vehicles under private registration can no longer be used for e-hailing services unless converted from private to commercial use.

The motor insurance for private vehicles will not be valid as e-hailing taxis will have to be insured under the taxi category. Under the old motor tariff, the premium to cover RM1,000 sum insured was RM26 for private vehicles and RM69.80 for taxis.

The first RM1,000 sum insured varies according to engine size. For a 1.6 litre car, it was RM251.50 for private use and RM488.30 for a taxi. The seating capacity allowed for e-hailing vehicles is from four to 11 passengers.

The number plates will remain the same as private vehicles (black plates with white letterings) but there will be identification marks on the vehicle, although not in standard taxi colours. The road tax will remain as private vehicle rates.

As expected, all e-hailing drivers must obtain a public service vehicle (PSV) licence but without having to go through a lengthy and expensive process like taxi drivers. A fast track and cheaper programme have been designed for them.

All they need to do is pay RM200 to attend a one-day course and pass a test. But licences for the PSV and e-hailing taxi will only be granted to those without criminal records, outstanding summonses and are in good health. To complete the conversion from private vehicles to e-hailing taxis, they must be sent to Puspakom for the initial inspections.

This licensing and conversion from private to commercial vehicles will deter a large majority from embarking on such an unpleasant exercise.

Whether e-hailing taxi drivers are required to wear a uniform is still under discussion but the marked e-hailing taxis will enjoy taxi rates at toll plazas benefitting passengers and drivers on empty runs.

E-hailing taxis are not allowed to join taxi queues and are not permitted to wait at airports throughout the country. Interestingly, there are a lot of similarities between e-haling taxis and private hire vehicles that I wrote about in 2014, speculating that it will be introduced in 2015.

It has taken so long for the government to make clear that all private vehicles will no longer be allowed for e-hailing service, which must be a crushing blow for e-hailing drivers. Most full-time drivers are not happy to take time off to obtain a PSV licence, even after I pointed out the fact it will benefit them as it will get rid of a large number of casual and part-time drivers.

But to go through the hassle of converting their vehicles to commercial use and paying a much higher motor insurance premium, the majority will simply give up.

But those that remain will have a field day but passengers will suffer from fewer e-hailing vehicles and higher rates. Taxi drivers that have adopted e-hailing services with regulated taxi fares will be smiling from ear to ear.

If enforcement is strict after July 12, there will be a dearth of e-hailing vehicles for the rest of the year as the market can only return to normalcy next year. It may turn out to be a second wind for taxi companies, badly affected by e-hailing. They can exploit the crisis by supplying e-hailing taxis to drivers without a vehicle.

In any case, it will no longer be worthwhile for part-time drivers to dabble in e-hailing services as one has to invest in an ordinary taxi or e-hailing taxi to pick up passengers and this would only be worthwhile doing full-time.

Wake up from reality that there is no strong driver association which can voice out our concerns and fights for our rights. Other than writing few comments in Loke FB, is there anything else?

E hailing drivers just no united to fight for their common interest. Every time dapur tak berasap.

Provided that that driver account didn’t get suspension recently for any reason. Otherwise, they will straight away give one month suspension even though the driver committed the different violations.

There is a probation period that they will monitor these blacklisted account really closely.

The reason kitchen no smoke excuse is already an indication of how desperate is a person becoming a ehailing driver. Sure we can unite for half a day... Just give the cash money to the person who can join the rally, demo or whatever... problem solve... Now... who can fork out half a million cash to give ehail driver to protest? Not a single person wan to do this... No money no talk...

Just because other ehail driver got other passive income or ample money in savings account, these people always wanna go boycott larr... protest larr... how bout this... Dis person who wanna boycott... please pay rm200 to 10 people each to go with them... If 1000 ppl do this... you got a 10K of ppl to join protest...

Ehailing driver with passive income say no unity among us but unwilling to give their passive income for half a day to the other ehailing driver who dapur tak berasap. and of course dapur tak berasap will not take leave for a day without any income.

Do all see what I mean? Those who jumps all the MOT and Taxis ASSociation hoops and still driving after 12 July are the ones seriously need ehail as a living... and for those who don't... congratulations... you have other income and salary to support your lives...

Anyway, Our last hope is the rider themselves... Let them voice out after 12 july... such as surge price... waiting too long for grab... maybe some viral stories about taxis... Suara Rakyat is strong now in Malaysia Baharu...

If drivers can’t be united (due to whatever reasons, self interest, short term minded etc)then have to accept any decision made by authorities and grab management.

Of course, the drivers can continue to whine in social media which we have done for ages.

We just need unite 5% of e hailing drivers to fight for common interests. A lots of things can be done if this happen.

Few weeks back I was in Leisure commercial square and receiving ping at the icon city lobby. The Waze indicated I need 20 minutes to pick up due to morning traffic condition at the Ldp junctions and this condo is on the other side of LDP.

About to press cancel, suddenly this indian female rider message me begging no to cancel her trip because she has been waiting for 45 minutes and she was already late for work.

Out of the good heart, I just proceed to pick her up although I knew this is loss making trip. Nothing much happen during the trip and riders seem ok except she complained no drivers accepting her booking and one accept then cancel immediately.

At 2 pm same day, I turn on my app to check my rating. I was shock when it was dropped 0.04. Highly probable the 1 star is from her due to her frustration for can’t get drivers on time. But didn’t she knew that is my drivers rating and it was not the grabcar app rating?

I also received zero tips from her after trip. Lesson learn. Enough said

1. Yes, call me a lembu, but I NEVER turn off the AA.
2. No. 6:30 am to 10:30 I never use that feature.
3. I moved around and never stop at one location due to i was on the road. Traffic jam, move like siput, but still moving within the red spot hot area.
4. I was at Seksyen 7 Shah Alam at 7:10 am when I receive a ping with RM2.50 bonus to Puchong with RM29 fare. It takes 50 mins to get there with the traffic condition. In Puchong (bloody red area), no job sangkut at all for an hour.

I have restart the app, restart my phone and finally delete the app, clear the cache, restart my phone again before reinstall the app to get another job at 10:20 am but of course this one is worse than charity where 20km job including travel to pickup point only with RM18 fare.

Hebatkan?
*
Driver app map are misleading us.

I normally drive toward Sunway. Early Morning should be able to get pings. More Grabcar pings in Sunway compare to puchong.

Also recommend to register mycar account by the way. Sometimes it help to bring us to the area we need.
