He Loke but didnt see what are the ramifications it would have to the the public transport system.and welfare of many drivers who needed extra income to feed the family as part time gig.
Probably 180,000 drivers on the road where they spend thier time instead with thier family. 20,000 are full time probably because they could find any job at thier age or current economic situation. He acted tough in his talking to 180,000 of them on rules of engagement but gone soft on his balls when faced with handful of taxi rockfellas. It is his job as erected Member of Parliament to look and see the problem of Rakyat.
And his responsibility as MOT ministar is to ensure to look at the problems and solution in public transport for the riders and drivers from taxi and ehailing stand point of views. Not black and shoes implementation as Education Minister or giving brith control jabs to orang asli to treat anemia to orang asli by Health Ministar. They are many issues pertaining to public road and transport that needed to look into. From motorbikes without safety helmets, some says carrying two toddlers too while others said sardines packed in school cars and vans. Most of all, public roads that are invasions of food and durian stalls blocking the road and besides the traffic lights lane with parked cars especially obvious in Klang Valley. Certainly this is not just job of DBKL and MPPJ only but MOT to look and see the situations of MY roads. This post has been edited by zinglicious: Jul 12 2019, 09:49 AM |

Best time to grab riders is when there is heavy downpour. Sumore got high surge.
JPJ not that tough looking to hold road block with the rain dropping on their heads.. According to my cooking sauce, MOT Loke is to issue a public statement hari ini. This post has been edited by zinglicious: Jul 12 2019, 10:18 AM |

QUOTE(zinglicious @ Jul 12 2019, 10:35 AM) It is his job as erected Member of Parliament to look and see the problem of Rakyat. Loke’s puzzling suppression of the e-hailing industry, will stunt the growth of a very valuable service to ease transport woes, and needlessly make it more difficult for some 200,000 people to supplement their incomes. If these drivers earn an average of just RM1,000 a month to supplement earnings, that’s an income of RM200 million or RM2.4 billion a year, which is probably more than what the government has ever achieved through any one single income-increasing scheme. Such a short-sighted policy prevents both improvements in services for the public and at the same time reduces opportunities for hassle-free increase of incomes for hundreds of thousands of people, yet again demonstrating policy bankruptcy within Pakatan Harapan government of the day. Loke needs to see and recognise that e-commerce is burgeoning and any regulations restricting their growth should be done away with if they are unnecessary, so as to stimulate growth in services and, by extension, the incomes for many. QUOTE(yhtan @ Jul 12 2019, 03:58 PM) JPJ and APAD can start their enforcement, since it is effective date. A lot of drivers still doing illegally and crap still let them online. Driver and crap has to blame as well Ikan bilis driver ditanggung salah bila ditangkap manakala Grab whale or MYcar shark goes scoot free though they are the service provider for the drivers and riders. At the risk of being fined and jailed, plenty of drivers still grabbing riders because they need the monies to feed thier family, pay installment for thier car, and etc. Many sleep at the airport or petrol station to take bath on the road while part timers sacrificing thier family time to earn extra income after thier primary jobs. Loke, these guys deserve help instead of penalize them with extra cost and time. They are not asking for free handout while grabbing riders. Most need streamline the process to get the stickers. By right the government should commend these drivers for making MY world a better place where it connects more than 1,000,000 rides everyday. Therefore look carefully before you leap with enforcement. As the Member of Parliament, you have to the duty to serve the rakyat especially they are providing service to nation building. Forget about playing politics and tough talk about enforcement which is not doing much to enhance transportation. To be tough go after errant taxi which are jamming bulit bintang or those not using meters and those not taking the riders for short distance trips. And as MOT minister, you are suppose to highlight the plights of drivers to protect the terms and condition with the e hailing companies. Implement the rules of engagements from age limit of drivers and time limit for driving for safer journey experience. And probably introduce health scheme with contributions from companies who are making out from the commission. These are the proactive and constructive steps where you can earn respect instead of inviting wrath from the Rakyat riders and drivers with your current command on rules and regualtions. QUOTE(yhtan @ Jul 12 2019, 04:29 PM) If u still don't have the e-hailing sticker but u got PSV and EVP, u can go online, i'm sure JPJ officer will let u go because it is just a small matter. I was told that the e-hailing sticker has a unique QR code, after u scan only driver information will pop out. But the big boss of JPJ said otherwise in the official statement. https://www.nst.com.my/news/nation/2019/07/...-face-jail-fineThat's why MOT must be firm mah, u stand firm against driver but not the Company, even DACSEE also terang-terang say they have 0 EVP in their fleet. But today u see the amount of drivers on the road, later JPJ/PDRM go full force then blame who for their own mistake. |

Only 22,000 passed PSV to date. After 3 months , how many?
Ditanggung tak salah hingga 3 bulan lagi, how many would be on the road in the next showdown or shutdown to cope with 1,000,000 rides daily? This post has been edited by zinglicious: Jul 12 2019, 05:13 PM |
