Picked up 5 lovely ladies to go for dinner function at Malaysian Association For The Blind.
They asked me to wait at the guardhouse where I tunggu durian jatuh. Waited but only see some ladies which I thought they were waiting for others to pick them up. Didnt realize they are sight impaired as they were not wearing dark glasses or tongkat since I saw thier desination is to MAB brickfeild. I picked up my phone to call and I noticed one of them answered my call. She said sorry to keep me waiting but I apologized for not realizing they were all the while standing there waiting. She had told me to wait by Pandah Indah apartment guardhouse but they were already there when I arrived. And those ladies 4 melayu and 1 Indian impressed me much not just because they are lovely but thier attitude. And also thier command of English where they would put many full sighted MY graduates into shame. And they were so cheerful and dress well for the occasion which one them wished to win lucky draw prize. " Uncle pray for me that i would win the prize especially the washing machine. I asked her what was her nombor and she said 222. The other one said 232. iSayman, i would get them the machine if I get the lucky strike tomorrow since they declined my offer for the free ride. When there is a will there is a way, either I asked the guardhouse or the MAB society thier where about since I might not get the contact from Grab. Just hoping to see thier smiles on thier faces if and when they receive the washing machine and 5 extra Huawei phones as extra bonus. They might or not guess it is from me but enough to imagine thier giggles and grin from lips to thier eyes. These young girls positive attitude in life and attitude in others really grab my attention. Picture this - blind sighted ladies taking Grab rides already there when they order the ride while those big fish eyes would ask us to wait while they taking sweet time from thier Jamban bize and said 5 minutes to take the lift down. |

No problem form cheapskate or cheatskate . Just ask rider to change or add designation. It means extra RM2 or more.

QUOTE(river.sand @ Jun 30 2019, 10:04 AM) No. Doubt Grab would take action without evidence. I didn't record down the conversation. Pick up at the right point and dropped exactly at the spot of designation. Mana ada masalah? It was my last job of the day. If the couple were nice people, I wouldn't mind give them short free ride. But that guy was clearly cheating. But i would have file a red face that the riders refused to add or change designation after the dropoff and insist to drop off for another rider. |

QUOTE(marmurra @ Jul 1 2019, 02:01 AM) In your willful world...justify your comment. Failing to understand the scenario meant failed to view in perspective which can be in written form. In my willy world, my Inglish not very good especially way past midnite. I didnt graduated from Oxford. ‘Designation’ is way off a destination. You’re in a wrong forum. What justification you wanna? Cheapskate or cheatskate? Designation ? "the action of choosing a place for a special purpose or giving it a special status" Whereas Destination could be also referred as the purpose for which something is predetermined or destined. So I failed to understand what the fuss is all about...... It could be a dilemma for a driver to drop his pants or destination at the riders whims and fancies as though he is the personal chauffer or slave. And ehailing is the platform for both drivers and riders where they should adhere to the code of ethics and honesty. The rules of engagement where the riders paid the fare to the drivers who have the responsibility to take them to the destination safe and sound. Just trying to shoot the blanks with barrel gun with hope to hit one or two on what justification in proof reading in ehailing issue in this thread to the best pf my understanding |

Why MY minister is making it hard for the Rakyat to earn a bit extra to feed the family by doing extra work instead of lepak at Mamak teh tarik shops? https://www.malaysiakini.com/columns/482331...-ThinXSnp-DIOXw
In fact, there should be positive encouragement with free Puspakom inspection to PSV courses where the drivers are doing the service to provide transport to the public instead of taxing them. The other constructive regulations would be just limiting the hours of driving especially to those under 25 years where many are college students. They should not being sucked into to be taxi drivers for life. They should regulate the fare to be compatible with taxi to prevent the problem of undercutting their livelihood of professional driving. Let it be known the 200,000 drivers from ehailing industry are old enough or are registered voters where additional voting rights are from the family too. When MY minister is making life tough for them, they would not forget what to do next. This post has been edited by zinglicious: Jul 5 2019, 02:15 AM |

just thinking aloud if e hailing is subjected to the rules and regulations as public transport, it makes ringgit and sense to convert it as taxi.
You would get discounted toll, parked or drive on taxi lane, pick up riders roadside, and etc. Most of all wont get 20% commission cut and crappy banana just because some riders left some package of rubber or KFC lunch |

Not yet....Malingfun...like the the new rules of engagement of e hailing.
But for those going to be full time, why not? I saw those cars with pepsi bottle ontoppa car roof and advert from backsides on thier car and I just wonder why not? Unless if you are part time lover to drive for fun or side income or you dun wanna your boss knows you are moonlighting after your job. Seriously the gig is for part time or for time being where you be a Lembu while looking for horse to ride on. being currently unemployed. Your future is not guaranteed for long despite high fares and risk of crappy banana. |

HBP is one of the sign to indicate you are in the high risk of getting stroke or getting heart failure. Among the factors are poor dietary habits, inadequate sleep , lack of exercise. Stress from traffic jam and tensions from driving would cause your BP to go sky high.
Wanna to know what is the cost of hospitalization for two weeks in stroke and heart block without major surgery? At least RM20K in the 3 stars hospitals. 5 stars hospitals would be knocked 3 times. Most of all, the inconvenience of being bedridden and limited mobility to walk and talk unsteady. Whatever you can grab with some ringgits doesnt makes sense when you are diagnosed with high blood pressure. Surely, whatever you can earn from high fare with TTB or tippings is not gonna to cover your medical expenses if you are down and out in mobility or mortality. Medical check up is rule of SPAD engagement for the safety for drivers and riders. And HBP is a red zone indication that it is not safe to operate public transport. This is a healthy reminder from mean olde chef who is not cooking stories. Dun believe, ask the medical expert point of view from responsible doctors either IJN or GH. Or it could be your friendly doctors who would be willingly sign a letter of indemnity that you are fit to drive despite the HBP condition. Yang Berkhidmat dengan MBBS to MRCP. MRCS and FRCS and FFR. I would have to look at all angles and see the rules and regulation can be implemented within the time frame if I were Loke.
I would be talking to Ehailers drivers and taxi drivers on this rules of engagement how best to do it right for the best interest for upgrading the public transport safety. In the forum, It would be joint meeting between all interested and vested parties with kenduri from PDRM, SPAD to Puspakom where issues to be discussed in depth. |

Grab just got 10% of its 200,000 drivers that are on PSV status. That means 20,000 drivers legally driving on the road. MYcar pool of 30,000 drivers, only 400 got lesen PSV memandu.
This means less than 21.000 drivers on MY road to serve 1,000,000 rides daily. https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2019...-for-new-rules/ |
